I walk along the park path, humming as I listen to music on the newly acquired mp3 I stole from the Goldenfold residence. Everything I was wearing was a patchwork of previous robberies. I was on a roll in this suburb and no one knew who was committing what they called the Phoenix burglaries. They called them this, I think, because I would burn the houses to the ground after taking what I could. I have a bit of a problem with pyromania, sue me. It's not like I'd ever do that with anyone in the house. The music seeps through from my ear buds, consuming my thoughts of last night's adventure.
"I'm a match, she's kerosene, you know she's gonna burn down everything," I sing as I skip out of the park, and into the suburbs.
"She's an arsonist in her pass time, and I've been burned for the last time, time, time, time, whoa." I smile wickedly as I flick a lighter open, staring at the flame as my fingers dance across it. I'd been immune to fire for as long as I can remember.
"It started out like any other morning. The sky was red, he took it as a warning, She hit the hive now the bees are swarming!" I sang loudly, kicking a pine cone.
"Then played the victim till the crowd starts forming. She's got a history of making a scene, yeah. She tell a story, she gets right in," I smirk as I sing, strangers glancing at me.
"He's the executioner and she's the queen, and he's the one whose neck is in the guillotine!" I adjust the guitar on my back, going back to the chorus.
"And he said, I'm a match, she's kerosene, you know she's gonna burn down everything. She's an arsonist in her pass time, and I've been burned for the last time. Time, time, time, whoa," I finished, closing the lighter.
I stopped in front of a boring little house that had their garage door open. Huh, I thought. There are gizmos and gadgets lying all over a workbench. On a shelf were boxes full of more science-y looking shit. Some of the boxes were literally labeled 'shit'. I laugh at whoever labeled them. They had a good sense of humor. Suddenly the door connecting the house and garage swung open, a blue haired man in a lab coat stepping out. We stared at each other for a second.
"What the fUUuck are you looking at," the man said, burping. A wide smirk stretched across my face, and the man's eyes widened slightly. I walked off with a grin on my face, knowing he saw my eyes flash red. I heard footsteps and then the sound of the garage door sliding down. Heh. I had decided. That house was my next target.
--Rick's POV--
Jerry was being an annoying little shit again so I stepped out only to find a woman staring into my garage. She had beautiful brown hair cascading down her leather jacket, ending in a fiery dyed red. She had a guitar strapped to her back. Her facial features were sharp and stunning with black kohl lined eyes.. She turned her body toward me, and I felt a surge of annoyance. Despite her clean appearance, she was obviously a dead beat.
"What the fUUuck are you looking at?" I growled. She just smirked and I felt my heart beat stutter. Then her eyes flashed a vibrant fluorescent red. My eyes widened. Then she just walked off.
What the fuck just happened?
