Mystery Guy

"-So this guy just came out of nowhere and had creepy paintings of you?" Chloe asked. Mary, Chloe, and I were on a call trying to decide what I'd do about my mystery guy.
"Kinda, he said it was this girl named Averril," I told them, "I thought I could talk to Eve today, have you seen her Mary?"
"No, I went out to feed the wolves and check on the people," she started, "Look Ar, the people are scared, they heard of this wolf who's pregnant with an original's baby. A lot of people are fleeing, I could your help out here?"
"Sure, I'll head that way, I have to stop by my parent's house, my dad said it was 'super urgent',"
"Yeah, the witches have been uneasy lately too but no one will talk, because Sophie's back with the witches." Chloe talked.
"When aren't the witches uneasy?" I asked and we all laughed, "Why don't we all go out to the bayou, picnic and I can talk to Eve,"
"I'll be here, just text me when your close, I'll warn the wolves a witch is coming by,"
"They love me," Chloe defended herself.
"They love you when you aren't with your coven," We laughed again.
"See you later," I said my goodbyes and ended the call. I decided to put on some simple clothes and put my hair in dutch braids. I walked over to my computer, why not check my email before I leave? Nothing. I walked out of the door and locked it when Marcel came up to me.
"Arabella June Ward," he spoke, "I usually don't have any issues with you or your family but after last night, I'd like to know your relationship with Klaus,"
"Who?" I asked, and before he could answer I started, "Why are you even her Marcel? Last night I was drunk and some guy tried flirting with me and for some reason, he had paintings of me? So answer this Marcel. Why are there paintings of me in the compound?"
"That room was spelled Arabella, only Klaus' soulmate could enter the room," he then pushed me up against a wall, "I don't know why you aren't with the other wolves but I promise you if you go anywhere near Klaus again I will make you one of them," The venom in his voice was prominent.
"Who the hell even is this guy, some old fancy vampire?" I asked.
"Not some old fancy vampire, the original hybrid, Niklaus Mikaelson," Holy hell. I was in the same room as an original? Klaus Mikaelson? That's why he wouldn't tell me his name. When I was younger my parents would tell horror stories about the Mikaelson family. I then felt Marcel back away.
"Look Marcel, I know you have something going with Cami" I stepped closer, "But if you hurt her, I don't care about your stupid rules," I then walked away, I didn't wanna deal with Marcel's bull any longer. I walked down to my car and drove it out of my apartment.
I pressed a button and spoke, "Call father" As the phone rang I waited, he answered about 5 seconds later, "Hey dad,"
"Hey, Bella what's up?" he spoke.
"I'm on my way to the house before I go to the bayou," My parents always wanted me to call before I came over, just to let them know.
"Okay, sounds good," He then hung up. I turned the music up on my car as I pulled through the French Quarter, leaving town. On my way out, I noticed a plantation that was usually vacant about a mile away from my parent's home. It looked like a family had moved in after so long.
As I pulled into my parent's driveway, Rowan came running out. They hugged me immediately.
"Your home, thank god, I can't deal with mom's talk about the harvest any longer," Rowan spoke. My mom gave up her magic after she adopted me, something had gone down between the witch and werewolf community and she didn't want to be a part of it. When the harvest happened my mom went crazy, my siblings were 16. When Chloe told me that Davina Claire and Monique Deverueax were chosen my heart broke. Those girls were so young. That night I went over to my parents' house to turn like usual and comfort my sisters, they were going to lose 2 important people and I couldn't stand it. Chloe told me what actually would happen that night, I told her we had to stop it but there was nothing we could do. When Davina Claire went missing that night that whole community felt it. We all lost something.
"Let's go inside, I need to talk to dad." I held their hand as we walked in the door, then Lilli came and hugged me. She spent most of her days rebelling against my parents. "Dad!" I yelled. My childhood home was pretty big. We lived on a farm so my mom could grow whatever she wanted, she still wanted to be connected to nature in some way. My dad came walking down the spiral staircase.
"Yes, sweetheart?" he asked. My dad grew up in Texas and was very deep-rooted in his southern ways, barbeques, beers, country music, all of it, except for the racism and homophobia I guess. My grandmas were married for 50 years before my grandma June died. I broke my dad. He was adopted as a baby from a gay multiracial couple so I'd say he was pretty good.
"You wanted to talk?" I asked.
"Yes, I had mentioned that, well, I just wanted to ask you what you were doing around Marcel Gerard's crowd the other night," I'm not even living in the house and this man has eyes on me at all times.
"Cami, my friend from college, was invited and asked me to tag along since she didn't know many people there," I explained.
"You know I don't want you around that crowd," he said.
"Dad, I didn't even interact with Marcel,"
"Well just be careful, I heard the original are back in town,"
"Yeah that's why I'm headed down to the bayou to help Mary and talk to Eve"
"Be careful," He said.
"I always am dad, anyways, I should get going," I said but remembered the house a mile back, "Hey who moved in at the plantation down the road?"
"I don't know, if you want you could come over and bring your siblings over there at some point?" He said.
"Well, I'm gonna go, tell mom I say hi," I hugged him and left. The drive to the bayou wasn't far but was a bit of a drive from my parents' place. When I arrived in front of the Kenner house I grabbed the picnic bag. I heard laughter from inside and rushed in. "Hey, guys!" I said as I entered the house without knocking, Mary and I had been friends for so long, we were family.
Mary rushed over and hugged me, "Good, you're here," I could tell she had news, "I heard that the wolf is going to see Dr. Paige, and you know as well as I that, that girl is trouble," I agreed, she moved the bayou but wouldn't see any wolves, only vamps and witches. Mary and I wore the same mark on our back, we are both constantly at risk. It's good that Mary lives in the bayou. Anyone with that mark is at risk.
"I'll check that out, do you know her pack, we could reach out?" I asked as I sat in the living room.
"Heard she doesn't have one, bumped around for a while but never felt at home, I don't why she's in New Orleans though, maybe she'll help us?"
"Possibility," Chloe spoke, "Sophie wants to protect that baby at all cost, "
"Well on other news, Marcel threatened me," I admitted, I felt safe with Chloe and Mary, no one would tell each other's secret.
"What? I swear, the audacity of that man," Chloe gasped. We laughed as I grabbed the picnic basket and we walked outside. We sat in our usual spot, a patch of grass with some flowers.
"You know Dauphine street music Festival is tonight, I know Marcel is planning something but I need to stay here and watch the wolf girl,"
"I'll go there Ara, you and Chloe can stay here, wait for the girl and make sure she's okay," Mary spoke.
"Wow, Mary wanting to go into town?"

------------------------------------

Later that night, after I had talked to some of the wolves. Mary had left to go the festival, covering her mark. Chloe and I had talked though the evening. When night had fallen I had made my way to Dr. Paige's office.
"Your baby's heart rate is perfect," Dr. Paige spoke as Chloe and I stood outside her building, well more of a shack.
"I knew it. She's a tough one, like her mom." The other person spoke, probably the wolf girl carrying the original baby.
"That's a unique birthmark." Dr. Paige spoke. Birthmark, like cresent? I peeked through the widow to see her birthmark, the same one both me and Mary and Jack all wore on our backs. This wolf was a cresent, so why wasn't she stuck as a wolf? Had she not completed her transformation?
"We're pretty much done here, right?" The girl asked.
"Your blood pressure is a bit high, I've got something for it." Just then Dr. Paige left the room. Some cars then pulled up. I could feel her anxiety. Suddenly a wolf howled, it was Jackson, was he following this girl?
"Ahh, you know, I'm-I'm actually not that good with pills."
"Heh, neither am I, truth be told." The girl smashed her nose up against Dr. Paige, smashing the syringe that the doctor had into her neck. As the men came close I ran over to the window, I helped her open it after she locked the door.
"Come on," I told her, "Run as fast as you can," I fought off the big man as they tried to go after the girl. Chloe came up and punched them. Once we got them down I ran after the girl. Once I found her I saw Jackson killing the vampires.
"Hey, Hey, its okay, I'm not gonna hurt you, I'm a friend," I said to the wolf girl.
"Who are you?" she asked.
"My name is Arabella Ward, that birthmark you have, my best friend and I both have,"
"What are you saying we are linked or some shit?" she asked another question, god how many questions could this girl ask.
"No, well, no, it means your a cresent wolf, that mark means so much, I'd suggest you keep it covered,"
"Why?"
"Our pack doesn't have the best history with this city,"
"You say our?"
"Miss your a cresnt wolf," I told her as her face was shocked.
"Its Hayley,"
"What?" I asked.
"My name is Hayley"
"I'm Arabella, Hayley,"
