-TEZUKA POV-

I look out the window to see the sun coming out alongside the rain, creating a rainbow across the sky. Some girls giggle and say how beautiful it was but as I look out the window, the more I thought about that girl from this morning. I haven't seen her around and it's already lunch time, I had a council meeting soon. I get up and tidy up my books as I make my way to the council room, along the way I see Fuji, my eyes widen in surprise upon seeing the girl.

"Ah, Tezuka - perfect timing. This is Yayoi Akemi," Fuji introduces, she smiles gently at me and bows.

"We've already met, this morning, right?" She speaks and I nod, adjusting my glasses I introduce myself properly.

"I'm Tezuka Kunimitsu," I say and she nods, we both exchange another bow and I couldn't help but admire her beauty once again. Fuji's clearing of his throat broke me off my thoughts.

"Is practice still cancelled?" Fuji asks and I nod my head.

"Yes, the courts are slippery and it's dangerous, we mustn't let our guards down," I say then Fuji smiles. I excuse myself as I make my way to the council room, but not without making eye-contact briefly with Yayoi, my eyes soften and she blushes. I wouldn't allow anyone to know I took an interest in a girl, I didn't want to be distracted like Echizen was.

"Excuse me," I slide open the door as I speak, bowing and enter to begin the student council meeting. It takes the whole of lunch to finish as we were discussing about the cultural festival and new events that are added into it. I pile up the papers as each representative gives them to me, sorting them out in a neat pile to hand over to the staff room.

"Tezuka-san, someone is at the door for you," I hear a member say and I nod, standing up I walk to the door to see Yayoi.

"Hello, Tezuka-san. Fuji-kun instructed me to come here as I wanted to ask if I can be in the council," she speaks, bowing gently and I look at her, then blinking a couple times I adjust my glasses as I clear my throat.

"Ah, there is a position open for the treasurer. If you fill this form in then hand it in the staff room... uh," I begin but then I falter, looking into her ocean blue eyes makes me lose my train of thought as I awkwardly clear my throat, I felt my face heat up a little.

"Sorry, ahem, if you hand it in to the staff room at the end of the day, we'll go through it and see if you're suitable," I finish and she nods as one of the members hand her the application form. With a small bow and smile, she excuses herself, smiling.

"Kaichou - I didn't know you could make such an expression," the class president of Class 2-9 says, snickering and I glare at him whilst adjusting my glasses.

"I don't make any," I defend as I make my exit, all the while frowning and keeping my stoic expression. I will not allow anyone to see me, let alone I, myself admit that I am showing emotion - it is not needed. A feeling like love won't help me become professional and surely it'll just get in the way of my studies. 

After classes were done for the day, I decided to head into the library to gather some books for my literature homework. Upon entering the library, I was face to face with Yayoi once more, she smiles at me with a bow.

"We keep bumping into each other," she says, giggling and I could only nod. She bowed once more as she goes to make her exit but my voice came out on it's own.

"Wait, for me," I say and with that I hastily walk to the literature section, grabbing the book I needed and checking it out. I walk over to her, she smiles at me and I nod as we walk out.

"Why did you ask for me to wait?" She asks, I can smell strawberry and cream coming from her, is it her hair or perhaps her perfume? Whatever it was, it had a nice smell to it, but I'd never admit it out loud.

"I'm heading to the staff room, too," I reply, assuming that she is heading to the staff room as she still has the paper with her and she nods.

"Ah - I see. I've always wanted to be in the student council but I was always afraid to apply," she says, laughing lightly and I wondered why, do I ask and ponder? Before I could decide - we were already there and she slides the door open, excusing our presence she hands the paper over to the vice principle.

"Ah, Yayoi-kun, it's great to hear you'd love to join the council. Welcome to Seishun Gakuen, once again," he says, smiling and Yayoi bows, thanking him. I hand the student council papers and other documents over to him as he thanks me too.

She bids her good-bye as she heads over to her classroom, I look at her retreating figure, then to the outside as the rain continues to fall but the rainbow is now more prominent. The vibrant red standing out, reminding me off her and this time I didn't shake the feeling or thoughts away as I continue to look outside the window, wondering where these emotions came from.

AUTHORS NOTES:

OKAY so this will be a slow burn, maybe? Yeah, may be a slow burn as Tezuka is a difficult character to write - sometimes I make him feel a little too OOC but I mean, his character is very kept to himself in the anime BUT, I'll try to keep his character this time hence why the slow burn.

I don't think it's bad that you're being honest with feelings, it'll mostly be in Tezuka's POV so we shall dive into his thoughts >:3. On another note, thank you for reading this story! I did say it will be a slow burn and the future chapters may be longer so bare with me.
