Reigisa (Rei x Nagisa): Unspoken

Part 7

It was dark and Rei hurt all over. He tried to move his fingers but it hurt. Rei tried to open his eyes but his eye lids were heavy. "Rei-chan" he heard Nagisa say softly. Hearing his name from his lover gave him more motivation to open his eyes. Once he did he look at Nagisa and smiled. Nagisa began to cry hard.

"Rei-chan!" Nagisa hugged him and Rei winced at the pain. Nagisa drew back after noticing he was in pain.

Rei struggled but raised his hand to Nagisa's face and wiped away some of his tears. Nagisa held his hand against the other then nuzzled his face against Rei's hand and smiled. Rei closed his eyes again then drifted into a dark sleep letting his body go limp and his hand fall.

Nagisa panicked.

Makoto who was standing by the door had gone to get the nurse when Rei had woken up. When he returned with the nurse he saw Nagisa worry and on edge since Rei had closed his eyes again. Nagisa stood and look over to his friends direction with tears filling his eyes. Makoto walked over and put his hand on Nagisa's shoulder.

The nurse checked Rei's vitals. "He just sleeping now. He's probably in a lot of pain at the moment so his body is trying to heal itself." Nagisa gripped Makoto's sleeve as the nurse spoke.

Once the nurse left Nagisa sat back down by Rei's side. Nagisa grabbed Rei's hand and hoped for the best. Before he knew it he fell asleep by Rei's side. The stress and worry had finally caught to him.

Rei woke up the next morning feeling sore but a little better. He noticed Nagisa sleeping in the chair next to him, his head on the hospital bed. Rei smiled at Nagisa's sleeping face. He rain his fingers through Nagisa's golden hair and wiped away the drool the was coming from Nagisa's mouth.

"Aren't you cute." Rei said quietly. Rei then noticed Makoto standing by the door. He blushed.

"It's good to see you awake." Makoto said giving his signature smile. "He hasn't left your side all night." He nodded towards Nagisa's direction. Rei looked down at Nagisa and brushed the hair away from his face. He really loved Nagisa. "I can sense that their was some tension going on between you two, try to fix it. You both have been through a lot." Makoto added before walking out the door.

As the door closed Nagisa started to wake up from the sound. He woke up to Rei sitting up staring at him.

"Rei-chan!" Nagisa said gleefully.

"Good morning, Nagisa." Rei said smiling. The smile soon faded and Rei looked down. "Look Nagisa, we need to talk."

Nagisa froze. Is Rei going to break up with me? He thought. Tears began to fill Nagisa's eyes yet again.
