"Answer."
You stare blankly at the man on his knees in front of you. His tears fall faster to the small puddle on the ground. You flick your fingers and watch as a gunshot went through his neck. You step a bit closer and watch him gasp and whale. You put your hands in your pockets and turn leave.

As you walked through a 3 padlocked door, the hundreds of screens on your walls welcome you. You go straight to your keyboard, eyes following the message bar.

Bing!

You watch a group of men wearing white horned masks rob a bank from your tinted screens.

Click!

And the message was sent to anyone or anything smart enough, that crime was occurring, would they try to stop it? Join it? Steal it? You didn't care at all. It's the show that mattered. The only thing that didn't bore you.

Whether it was a bat or a cat or a white guy with a toilet hat, it was the only thing. You feel the tracing on your temples as you watch the suited men begin their heist.

Life was so boring. It was easy to predict everything and anything. When the world would end, how Superman would win his next fight against Lex Luthor. Your boss. You had grown up in his empire. You saw those abomination of clones, you saw them kill, and hurt. That was something you couldn't predict.

What a new genetical mess of a brain would do. You wandered through your life until now. Until you met another unpredictability.

Him.

The Vigilante, the psychotic crime killer.
Your best show.

Your hands shake as he jumps through the window. He didn't even check if the door was locked. But on his last heist he did.
No pattern.
"Katanna..." you mutter, biting your nail. Instead he threw a ninja star. You smile, incorrect.
Something to figure out. Something! Something something something.

Your eyes were so focused on every movement his body made. But one of the covered robbers threw a desk. You stand up, your chair thrown onto the floor. That robber couldn't do that a week ago... That desk was polished spruce. His strength had to have Tripled, Even more.

Those winged skei ski nei Nol feful's.
Or what your boss called them, Butterflies. The only source of protein for the species had been destroyed. The leftover aliens were scattered across the globe left to live what little they had left. Like the one possessing this robber.

"Bare dodge.." Vigilante took the hit to his arm. You jolt. Why did you care when that happened? You punch your head in annoyance. That same pain in your chest every time he took a hit, no matter how necessary it was. Including the more recent toe one.

His limp was recognizable. Just like his voice. And his searches.

💫

"VIJJ!" a explosion shot through three levels of concrete, knocking everyone in the radio is down or away. Adrian tales a deep breath in and out, which was mostly full of blood and dust. A pillar laid on his side. He grunts and pushes it off, using alot of his force of adrenaline left. "Shit.."

"I've got a fireproof suit wacko. Remember the name? Heat- Wave. Moron." He aimed his weapon at Vigilante, who was pinned to the floor. But a bullet shot through the man's neck before he could. "Don't ruin this for me." you say, a few inches away. Usually this would never happen. You'd brainwash or send someone else. But today you had to do it.

You had to watch this fight in action.
"Fucking loser.." you add, watching him bleed out. "Who are you?" Vigilante turns to you, and your now bloody lab coat. You readjust your bangs to cover your symbol on your forehead. And march towards him. You click your thumb, as high tech gauntlets formed, making it almost like pinching a fly for you to move the other debri off him. You deactivated them before standing off.

"Finish your job, just like I'm not here!" you smile. He stumbles up in confusion. "What?" "here." you click a device and turn invisible to his eyes. "What the fuck?!" "VIG!" Peacemaker runs through the debri with a pistol in hand. "Oh, uh- never mind.." Vigilante looks around in confusion. "There was totally some chic here a second ago! She shot him and turned invisible!" Chris looked unconvinced, "yeah okay you didn't lose that much blood." "No! For real! Come on dude!"

He starts feeling the air around you. "Bro let's just go." "No! She's here I swear!"

💫

You stand idle behind the stage of Lex Corps new rally. 'The new superman' that clone you helped manufacture stood with him, with such pride. The pen in your hand crushed, ink exploding. You watch the ink drip off your fingers. You correct your goggles on your head, and listen in again. "Ah, Louis Lane! Superman's greatest Ally, a picture with him?" Lex asks, she glares and steps closer to the microphone.

"Who exactly manufactured this clone? You signed off on this didn't you? To mock your greatest enemy?" Superboy frowns, and looks over to you to help. You practically growl in response. "Ah, speaking of, Miss L/n! Comment." You could tell he meant business. You wipe the splattered mess in your pocket as you walk on stage to the microphone.

"I was the requested scientist to work on the 'Superman Project'. Calling our Superman a clone, would be calling your brother one too. Our Superman will protect Metropolis and it's people just as the one before him." you lie, monotonously. "Beatifully said, L/n. Any more questions miss Lane?" She glares, and looks at you. "Then what's the cloning lab for in the west Wing? I was going to ask in form of my next article, with photos.. But I suppose now is as good as any."

You watch Lex's face redden. Superboy looks at you with a fearful expression. You groan internally and clear your throat. "Earth is not a home planet to Kryptonian's, our Superman came from a ICU at a Very young stage, those aren't cloning tubes, but his medical prescriptions from his early year's. I understand it's easy to get confused Ms.Lane."

You watch her tap her foot and hum mockingly before leaving the stage with a ginger haired boy behind her. "Yikes." you hear Superboy say. "That Concludes our seminar, thank you for coming, and stay for the after party!" the moment the curtains close you watch Lex's face change. "Quick thinking. You. Behave." His quick comments to you and your clone project we're not unusual. "I want extra security in the Doctor's Lab." You nod, "Dismissed." he looks to Superboy.

"I want a backup clone incase this flops. I want it done by next week. I would threaten your family's lives so I'll just threaten His."
He clicks his finger and a recording of Vigilante appeared. "Heatwave's death was a bit bothersome. Watch it." you furrow your brows. "Making a clone like that was easy." you say, looking at Lex. It would be even easier to replace him. He understands your comment and raises his hand, slapping you with the back.

"Less friction." you mock. You hear a footstep and a gun clicking. "Domestic Abuse is against the Law." Vigilante says, aiming at Luthor. "So is manslaughter but we do what we want don't we?" you watch Lex's movements. You grasp your metal wrist. You remember the incident that had gotten you there. You knew Lex was watching your movements.

As Vigilante clicked the gun you saw Luther's bodyguard walk in. You click your finger and 3 metal tentacles came from your back, tazing the gaurd. "He has too many connections don't kill him." you say, "but he-" you nod in dissaprovable. You taze your boss. "He won't remember this, unless you do it again. So don't." you tell him. "But-" you throw him the guards gun. "Next time maybe."

"Soo... Is that like a date or anything or are we keeping it casual?" you watch Vigilante's movement's. You hum, "I've never experienced a date before. Sound's- fun. Be sure to give the maximum experience so I can mark it." "uh- Saturday?"."Affirmative."
