Monday period 1 - mathematics.
Time - 9:16.
Teacher - Miss. Batten.
Mood - bored out of skull.
"Okay 1st graders turn to page 94 in the level 7 skills course book please." Says our burden of a maths teacher Miss. Batten (there's probably a reason she's not married)
"Yes Miss. Batten"
"Psssst Lola, here" Mark says.
I force a smile towards him and open the crumpled piece of lined paper.
Dear Lola,
Have you seen Miss. Battens left eye it's really squint. Her eyes are green just like yours but hers are dark and murky like a minging strip of seaweed whereas yours are crystal clear and pierce through your eyes and make you feel happy inside...
I take a deep breath and tell him for the millionth time (and one) My eyes are hazel that's H.A.Z.E.L. He seems to think his charm can overpower the yellow plaque that coat his teeth, the dandruff that lies dormant in his hair and the state of his clothes. Maybe I shouldn't be so mean. But then again I'd be living a lie...
I pass the note back to Mark.. Uhhh that's sweet Mark but my eyes are the hazel and Miss. Battens eyes are dusky brown. Somehow I've always been VERY good with eye colours. My father told me when I was very young... Eyes are the key to the soul. You must read them correctly if you are to ever discover the thoughts of another. Analyze them and learn to understand them. Callum sits across from me and unlucky for me Mark sits right next to me... Callum has a glint in his eye and it catches my sight. I twist around to find Callum staring at me and smiling. I look at him and smile too we are caught in a trance though he keeps looking back and forward at the teacher I don't know what for... Then he suddenly looks back at me, makes eye contact once again and says to me...
"Can I borrow your rubber"
