CHAPTER 1

     "The End and the Beginning"

A long time ago, during the Woo Shun Empire, a servant by the name of Jihan toiled diligently in the Woo Shun Palace to support her family. She had resided there ever since she was a young child and had always been happy with her basic life. But one day, everything was different.

When Jihan awoke, she discovered that one of the princess  had been slain, and that she was the prime suspect. Since she had never met  in issue, she wasn't clear how or why she was being blamed.

Please let me go—I'm innocent. I'm pleading with you not to kill me, your highness.

Kill her off! Kill her off! Eliminate the witch!

The citizens of Woo shun Palace cried out for justice and accused Jihan, a 16-year-old innocent girl, of murdering the young Princess Mei Xhin.

I witnessed her poisoning the young princess and then killing her.
She is wicked!

One of the servants said.

She is only a slave! She is merely a witch, and her goal in murdering the princes was to seize control of this kingdom.

I'm not guilty. Please let me leave. I never commit murder. Lady Mi Xhin was not murdered by me.

The prince clenched his fist and yelled as he stood back and watched from a distance, unable to handle the scene as it was.
"Silence! Are you really sure," Prince Yul retorted to the servant, "but you don't have any proof.

But !  What does this mean, prince Yul? Princess Zheng chi stares incredulously. Are you defending this palace's foolish servant? She had killed Mei Xhin, that much is obvious. That slave ought to be killed!

Princess Zheng chi — oh my! Prince Eun Bei screamed, "Can you please stop talking so loudly." You should exercise caution when using words.
Jihan he is.

Well then. I think I understand what's going on...

It appears that the crown prince Yul and that idiotic servant of his have a connection.

Is that right?

While listening to rumors from Princess zheng chi , Prince Yul reminds Silent.

How sadistic. Never again will that dunderheaded palace servant be.

The two continued to converse behind the prince's back when all of a sudden they felt shivers, coldness, and fear. It appears that the prince had indeed overheard everything.
Both of them experienced shock as though they had witnessed a ghost.
Prince Yul then queries Zheng Chi. Are you circulating untrue rumors about Jihan and I?
Are you saying that I had a relationship with a servant here in the palace? You are so rude to speak to me in that manner. How could you possibly say something so absurd? You are a princess, not a chatty parrot, or else you have the brain of one. 

Prince Eun bei, on the other hand, restrained his laughter as he listened to the two.

Why are you amusing yourself? How about Eun Bei?
questioned Yul.
Nothing.. Eun Bei says while he closes his mouth and acts as if he hasn't heard anything.

I'm done with all this nonsense, I think we've gone far enough.     Talking to bird brains is pointless. Do I have this right? Lady Zheng chi, please? Prince Yul said

Why are you so quiet? Why did you suddenly stop speaking?

Prince Yul pointed at her.
She remained silent and dipped her head.
