He really was an idiot.

It was supposed to be a romantic gesture.

He'd gotten up in the morning earlier than expected, and had then hit the gym and gone to Macdonalds to grab breakfast and bring her back hash browns and a bacon sandwich.

The fact that there was no competition didn't mean that he could slack off, Griff certainly wasn't going to be doing nothing after his dramatic loss during the season, and Team SSX were going to be training harder than ever to make sure that when he did come back louder and more arrogant than ever they were ready to take on him and his corporate clowns, he was going to have to prove he had spent the off season doing more than boarding for fun, reading comics and attending festivals.

She would fervently insist that Macdonalds was disgusting and that she would rather eat crap than take the risk of breaking out in spots but would secretly never turn it down when it was bought for her, and when it wasn't bought for her he'd learnt to order extra fries so that when she'd eaten her share of his portion he would still feel like he had a normal amount.

He had returned home to find her hysterical, on the phone to Tane while hyperventilating and trying not to cry.

At the sight of him she had burst into tears handed him the phone and Tane had told him while she calmed down that the reason she was so upset is because he had left without waking her up and telling her where he was going or even left a note.

Ty hadn't thought that was necessary... mostly because they were at his house in Norway and his parents were at home. It wasn't as if he wasn't going to come back.

Awkwardly, and slightly pathetically he'd hung up and then held the bag and coffee out for her, and she'd snatched it from his hands and climbed back into his bed to eat it, looking extremely sheepish and red in the face. He couldn't work out whether that was because she was so embarrassed or because she was angry at him.

His relationship with Freya was... complicated to say the least.

He didn't say anything as he pulled himself into bed beside her and wait for her to stop being what was probably the latter and speak to him. It might take a while.

Most people thought he was an idiot, and to an extent he could agree with them, plenty of people had scoffed at his affections for the red head and commented that he was much too good for her. To an extent he could agree with that too, only a moron would have the patience he had with her, and any other guy of sane mind probably would have given up chasing her once she rudely blew him off the first time they met.

She was a total bitch after all.

But he couldn't, it was a corny thought but; she was pretty complex, and he liked trying to figure her out... being with a nice girl was way too easy. Like Susan, pretty, nice, thoughtful, trusting... everything you would want in a girlfriend really, Ty definitely envisioned bringing her home to meet his parents. Then there was Freya, hot, bitchy, narcissist, promiscuous... yet delightful around his parents, he didn't quite understand it... she'd even attempted to learn some Norwegian, not that she needed too; his parents spoke fluent English... but still.

Being with her was no picnic either, they hadn't actually spoken to each other about making their relationship concrete and she was flirtatious so it was difficult to know if she was serious with him when she ended up flirting with any other male that walked. She got angry fairly easily about the tiniest little thing and it wasn't always that he managed to calm her down although Tane liked to joke he was like Freya's sponge, he did seem to be the only one that was able to take her rage and let it wash over him as though it was nothing.

Admittedly he didn't tell anyone it was mostly because he didn't pay much attention, it was difficult for him to become angry himself, he was just too laid back... maybe that was the answer.
