It's the year 1877 in Copenhagen, Denmark... Oh wait! Vampires don't live there, do they?... Well the Hansens do. In 1834 Christain Hansen moved to Sweden to marry Angelica Bennett. He was 17 years old, and she was a stunning 24 years old, to him. To call her stunning was an overstatement, by a lot.

The stunningly horrific bride walked down the aisle to her new spouse, the veil covering her sallowed-looking face. As the bride approached, the young man already looked in-awe at her beautiful, flowing dress. It seemed if it was any longer, the back would have to be carried. The woman turned to look at her new husband, a smile that, to Christian, was so bright, it burned through the semi-opaque fabric. To everyone else... Well, the people were counting down the seconds to the bugs coming out her teeth.

Christian moved the veil from Angelica's face. While the crowd winced, he saw more than he could ever dream. "My love..." he started. "You look absolutely ravishing." Angelica smiled warmly. "Thank you, my dear." The priest cleared his throat. "We are gathered here for the wedding of Christian Hansen and Angelica Bennett. If you have any objections, do state them now." The crowd was silent. "Well then, Angelica, do you vow to be Christian's lawfully wedded wife?" "I do." "And Christian?" "I do." Everyone but the couple could sense the uneasiness that went through the poor priest.

"Well then, you may now kiss the bride." And that they did. It was so sweet that everyone almost forgot how strange the couple was. Everything had gone perfectly, until the disaster hit. This wasn't a tornado, or a hurricane, this was much worse. Christian accidentally bit Angelica's lip. "Ow!" Angelica cried, breaking the kiss. Before she could excuse Christian of his acts, though, she groaned from a different pain. She felt her canines sharpen, and something began to sprout from her back. "Wh-What is happening?!" "My love, I am so sorry, I accidentally bit you, a-and-" "He's a vampire!" An audience member screamed, which led to everyone except the groom's family and the married couple fleeing. Even the priest had taken his leave. The bride's transformation had stopped at last and as the purple, foggy smoke cleared Cristian stated "Angelica, I'm so terribly sorry, you must despise me-" Angelica put a finger to his lips. "I still love you just as much as I did the first day I met you." The spouse and bride kissed yet again, not knowing that the story of a lifetime had begun.
