I landed face first onto my beanbag taking a few seconds to enjoy the slow softness of it deflating. I rolled over and fixed my posture as I placed my laptop on my lap getting ready to stream watch movies all night. My lights dimed as I started the movie, right before anything good could happen my phone buzzed causing me to pause the movie "Damnit! What now" I said aroused. I turned and grabbed the phone, my face lit up as I unlocked the phone, I panicked trying to log in. Once that was all over I read the messages
9:13pm Nick: Hey!
9:15pm Nick: I never caught your name?
9:20pm Charlie: Omg hi! Sorry for not replying!
9:21pm Charlie: Your messages didn't come through
9:25pm Nick: Haha it's fine, I'm guessing your name is Charlie?
9:27pm Charlie: Yeah it is! And your Nick, We go to the same school!
9:30pm Nick: Actually? That's so cool! I'm in 11, you?
9:34pm Charlie: I'm actually in year 10
9:36pm: Seen by Nick
My heart felt as if it was about to explode. He's actually talking to me!! One last message came through, I didn't even fully read it I pressed the call button. I was squirming around in my spot waiting for him to pick up. I was making my way to my bed when a random voice scared me making me scream and throw my phone. I heard my phone erupt with laughter "Omg did I really scare you?!?" I heard him stutter through his laughter "Yes! Yes you did!!" I said as I walked over and picked up my phone, his laugh softened and he began to speak "You're the first person to ever make me laugh like that" He said with a chuckle making me fall backwards onto my bed squealing inside.
We talked for hours on end about the most random things, These 'random' things meant the most to me because I could cherish these moments later on in life. "No! Penguins are better then seals!" He said jokingly "No! Seals are so much better!! They're so fat and adorable!" I said bouncing back at him. I laid staring at my roof with my phone on the pillow beside me as I listened to his soothing voice ramble on about how penguins are better then seals for over 30 minutes. I heard birds chirping and the light of the sun blazing into my eyes, I grunted and rolled over on top of my phone. I grabbed it and used it to shied my eyes from the bright light peeking through my curtains. The time read 6:25am. I sat up and yawned while unlocking my phone. I was surprised to see it say:
Currently on call with Nick<3
Call time: 9 hours and 10 minutes
'Holy shit I must of fell asleep' I thought to myself as I got up and placed my phone on the desk. I had over an hour to get ready for school so I thought it'd be best to hang up now and go shower. I waited till I heard the sound of me leaving the call to message him and apologize
6:27am Charlie: Hey Nick, Sorry for hanging up! I have to get ready for school. See you there maybe? :)
6:27am: Delivered
I scrolled through Spotify trying to find the right playlist, once I found it I proceeded to play it. I left my phone on the bathroom counter and climbed into the shower.
