I felt the weight of his army jacket on me. With all my tears the distinctive greens blurred together as I cried my eyes out clutching to both of his arms. I did not want to let him go. I new what was coming, we had been planning for this for a while. How we would write to each other every week, how occasionally I'd get to hear the voice I had grown to love. It felt as if my heart was being ripped out of my chest. I was not going to see him for a whole 9 months. "Look up at me, Audrella" he said tilting my chin up with his pointer finger. As I looked into his deep blue eyes for what would be the last time before he hopped on that plane. "I love you" I say breathlessly. "And I love you, more than you will ever know" He leans in to give me one of the most meaningful kisses we have ever shared. I kiss him back with all I have. I feel the warmness of his mouth overtake my mind and its all I can focus on, the spearmint flavor from his favorite gum,  to the smell of the cologne I bought him for his birthday a few weeks ago. I pull away and wrap my arms around his neck and jump up. He puts our foreheads together and he takes a deep breath in. Everyone is saying goodbye, for now at least. You never know what could happen during deployment especially in Iran.
