Authors POV:
What the fuck was that? Y/n thought to himself, the footsteps were heavy and sounded like metal coming in contact with the hallways tile floor.
Scott and y/n glanced at each other, they could both see the worry and curiousness in their eyes, the footsteps continued down the hall until they stopped by the door. Red lights started to flash above them and their vision was disabled for a second until they adjusted.
"The ventilation!"
Every once in a while, ventilation would run weak, causing red flashing warning lights to go off. If the ventilation was down then it would become very difficult to breathe. Y/n rushed to the control tablet to reboot the ventilation while Scott barricaded the door, finally, the air came back on and they were able to see the cameras now.
"Scott...come look at this."
Y/n said shakily, Scott propped a chair against the closed door and walked towards where y/n was sitting. On the camera, the moldy bunny animatronic was at the door standing quietly.
"Well at least we know for sure it can move"
Y/n watched in horror as the animatronic moved its rusting arm up at the door and banged its metal fist against it, once, twice, then it stopped. The thuds were almost deafening. The time in the corner of the tablet's screen read 5:48, just less than 20 minutes till the end of their shift. But at the bottom corner were two new buttons.
"What are these?"
"I don't know, try pressing them"
Y/n eyed him cautiously and pressed the first button, a sound emitted from the speaker in a far-off hall. Y/n switched the camera back to the hall the office was in and saw nothing at the door.
"The sound must have distracted the animatronic"
"Great, this is our chance to leave"
Y/n placed the tablet down and Scott removed the chair, then bolted it to the front door, locking it behind them.
"You can stay at my place if you don't want to sleep alone."
Scott offered, staring down at you. You nod and get into your car, you'll just follow him to his house.
As you pulled into his driveway, Scott waited for you at his car. You both walked together to his door and waited for him to open it.
His house was surprisingly big, you placed your shoes by the door and began to walk around.
"Make yourself at home"
