The Succession Crisis

When Lord Charles Andrew Howard Senior dies in September of 2240 he leaves a succession crisis when his eldest son, Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR hears his late father's Last Will and Testament his father's last Will and Testament reads "I, Lord Charles Andrew Howard, Senior, 3rd Duke of Norfolk Territory, do declare this to be my Last Will and Testament and all previous Last Wills and Testaments I have written are revoked by me."

First of all, my eldest son, Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR will succeed me to the Dukedom of Norfolk Territory.

Second, I make no provisions for my second son, Lord Richard Edward Howard Senior as he married without my consent.

I leave my beloved my Duchess in the care of our eldest son, Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR and I have left a sizable trust for all my children and grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Finally, the first of my grandsons that blessed me with my first grandchild will succeed my eldest son, Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR to the Dukedom of Norfolk Territory."

My final request is that I am buried next to my father, mother, brothers and sister.

Lord Charles Andrew III marries and even after 21 years of marriage they have no children and in 2257, Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR marries Lord Patrick William II to Lady Paulina Frederica Stafford, who ancestor is Lord Edmund Stafford, who was the son of Hugh Stafford, 2nd Earl of Stafford and married Lady Anne of Gloucester as her second husband and they had three children, one son, Lord Humphrey Stafford who married Lady Ann Neville and they had a son, Lord Humphrey Stafford, Earl of Stafford who married Margaret Beaufort, Countess of Stafford and they had Henry Stafford, 2nd Duke of Buckingham and he married Lady Katherine Woodville and they had a son, Lord Edward Stafford, 3rd Duke of Buckingham and he married Lady Eleanor Percy and they had Lady Elizabeth Stafford who married Lord Thomas Howard 3rd Duke of Norfolk and she had Lord Henry Howard, Earl of Surrey and Thomas Howard, 1st Viscount Howard of Bindon and he married three times and with Mabel Burton he had a daughter, Lady Frances Howard who married three times and her second husband, Lord Edward Seymour, 1st Earl of Hertford and her husband was Ludovic Stewart, 2nd Duke of Lennox but neither marriage produced children, but it was Lady Elizabeth Stafford's son, Lord William Howard who received the title and it later passed on to the Viller family and George Villiers, 1st Duke of Buckingham and he married Lady Katherine Manners and they had George Villiers, 2nd Duke of Buckingham.

Lord Charles Andrew JR and Lady Patricia first daughter, Lady Patricia Charlene arrived in April of 2235, to be followed by a second son, Lord Patrick William Howard II in September of 2240, and it held to argument between father and son when Lord Charles Andrew Howard SR argued with his son, Lord Charles Andrew JR about when his son named his second son, Lord Patrick William Howard II, and Lord Charles Andrew JR tells his father to mind his own his business and his two brothers side with their eldest brother along with their mother.

Lord Charles Andrew Howard Senior dies in November 2240 and Lord Charles Andrew JR succeeds his father, as the fourth Duke of Norfolk Territory and he has two more children with Lady Patricia, Lady Charlotte Augusta in 2245 and Lord Andrew Charles Howard named in the honor of his great-uncle, Lord Andrew Charles Howard, Duke of Northumberland Territory whose sons inherit the Dukedom of Northumberland Territory.
