Hendrikus Van Laar is the Mekahuman of Flowers, and he is from the Netherlands. He has blond hair and brown eyes. He's a gentle person, and prefers ranged fighting to melee. He lived from 1367-1699. During his life he meets a brown haired Reader named Jaylinn Aafjes, whom he later marries.
He and Jaylinn have four kids, Theo Van Laar, Henricus Van Laar, Vanessa Van Laar, and Martha Van Laar.
Theo has blonde hair and brown eyes, and is a very caring person. He became a therapist as soon as he heard about the job, because he wanted to be able to help his severely traumatized friends. Theo is aroace, and doesn't have any kids of his own, but he would always babysit for his siblings.
Henricus has brown hair and pink eyes, as he's a Reader like his mom. He is the one who is always helping out his dad whenever he needs it. He can come off as cold and unfriendly, as he doesn't like social situations, but he's actually really friendly once he feels comfortable with someone. Henricus married Naoko Arima, the daughter of the Mekahuman of Silk. They have two children together, Masami Van Laar and Jip Van Laar.
Vanessa has brown hair and hazel eyes. She is the most aggressive person in her family, a trait she got from her mom. She is confident in actions she takes and isn't afraid to speak out for unpopular opinions. She married Beāte Kirils, the daughter of the Mekahuman of Wood.
Martha has blond hair and pink eyes, as she is also a Reader. She is a very cunning person and loves pulling pranks on her siblings. She shares her father's love of gardening and is very much the baby of the family. She marries a human from what is now Mongolia named Naranbaatar Ayuush. They have three kids, Altansarnai Ayuush, Marijn Ayuush, and Otgonbayar Ayuush.
Masami has black hair and brown eyes. He is a very stubborn person and everyone knows it. He is like his aunt in the fact that he knows what he believes in, and will support that till the ends of the earth. He was trying to purse a relationship with Yeong-Hwan Song, son of the Mekahuman of Colors, but they both died in The Massacre before that could happen.
Jip has dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. She is more soft spoken than her brother, but just as stubborn. She loves spending time with her family, and always wanted one of her own. Unfortunately she died in The Massacre before she was able.
Altansarnai has black hair and pink eyes. She is a Reader like her mother. She has a love for nature and animals, and always scared her parents by trying to adopt every animal she meets, no matter how dangerous. She becomes close friends with Dobromiła Myślisław, the Mekahuman of Animals. She was also like a second mother to Bolívar Skała, Dobromiła's son. She was never interested in romance.
Marijn has black hair and brown eyes. She wanted to be able to fly like her mother, and always sought out high places to try and achieve that dream. She ends up marring Ágoston Sárközy, the Mekahuman of Gravity. They have five kids together, Erdenechimeg, Kornél, Mariska, Szebastián, and Zoé.
Otgonbayar has black hair and pink eyes. He was the baby of the family, and was often treated as such. As much as he loved the attention, he hated being babied, and refused to go to America when the rest of his family did. This lead to him, his Uncle Theo, and his niece Zoé being the only members of their family to survive The Massacre.
