A Destined Love On A Sinking Ship

Chapter one arriving on board

It was a later summer  morning when Ruby and her grandmother  had arrive at the port to asend on their travels to a new life in Australia on the newly built willow cruise line.  Ruby had not long-lost her parents in a devastating car crash which they did not survive that night. The only family ruby has now was her  grandmother who is old-fashioned and stuck in her ways. Ruby was not all thrilled about her grandmother  wanting  Ruby to have class,grace and elegance suitable to be wife material enough to be wed to a real gentleman of high standards which was what awaited her in Australia choosen by her dear grandma ma. As you can imagine Ruby was not all that thrilled about the hand she had been dealt, but she new that things would be worse off for her if she did not obay her grandma so out of respect she did what she was told.

All aboard shouted the cruise men to make sure all passengers and luggage arrived on the board safely, 10 mins to we set sail.  Ruby and her grandmother Vivian were escorted over to the the first class. Once inside ruby couldn't believe her eyes the boat was exquisite and magnificent with colours and texture and such detail it was enough to shock anyone. Ruby was in the upper class suite, so they had fancy ballroom exquisite dining rooms and social rooms and the own on suites bedrooms and living quarters, and the upper deck privileges how ever you had the lower class with bunking situations these were for  citizens with less money then the rich and although they were of less they made do with what they have something ruby admired about the poor they never let it bring them down.

The Captain sounded the horn of their departure to set sail for  4 days travel across the Pacific ocean.  Once ruby had got settled into her room  her and her grandmother  Vivian  took a stroll across the upper deck taking in their nice breazy atmosphere , "ruby darling I'm heading down to the dining area please don't  take to long out here" said  her grandmother headed off down to the exquisite dining area. "I wont belong grandma-ma just taking in the view, I'll  be down sortley" said ruby just then her eyes drifted down to the lower deck noticing a tall 6ft blonde hair man with rugged clothes playing ball with what seemed to maybe be his 2 younger brothers.  Ruby was mesmerised she couldn't take her eyes off him. She new her grandmother would be furious with her taking so long but she just couldn't take her eyes off this handsome man she had ever seen, eventually she managed to pull her gaze away and headed down to meet her grandmother.

When Ruby finally got to her grandmother Vivian was very unhappy about how long she had been because the food she had order had already gone cold. Because her grandmother wanted a granddaughter suitable for marriage being late and letting food go cold was not the way. Although Ruby  was listening to her grandmother  complain about how unlady like she was. Ruby couldn't stop thinking of the man she had watched playing ball on the deck below. Ruby  came up with a idea to try get out of one of her daily activities that was planned for her on this journey, to find him, to know him, Every part of her wanted to know more about him. She waited for the perfect opportunity that came up the next day were her grandmother had set up a ladys tea. After staying for a little while ruby turned to her grandmother "May I be excuse grandma-ma? I seem to be feeling a little under the weather today" her grandmother gibe Ruby a nod of approval and Ruby left the tea room and headed down the stairs and out to the lower deck. Taking a gental stroll she took in the air, the scents around her. Down here Ruby  noticed it was a little musky down here but that didn't faze Ruby because  she had never felt more alive and free.  she had made her way up to the front of the boat lookedbover the rails, watching the dolphins below taking it all in. Just then a deep voice behind her asked if she was alright ruby spun around, she was shock that it was the man she had admired from up above he was even more handsome face to face.  His eyes were completely emarld green and his stubble beard made her feel as mushy on the inside, ruby thought how can this man I've never met make my body feel so warm a gooey on the inside. Feeling her self get all flustered she polightly,told this handsome man she was fine and that she must head back she started to walk away when he called out to her asking her name "my names ruby" she says  "nice to meet you ruby" he called back to her am Elijah I hope to see you around .....
