Kaito's POV

Now, for some reason, I didn't go up against any other demons that I sensed Zenitsu, Shoon, and I think Inosuke take out. I say "I think" for Inosuke because he's underground and I can't sense auras underground, as seen with the zombies. Anyway, I'm dashing through the village, cutting zombies up and whatnot until I come across a graveyard. Not a good place for a battle against a demon whose whole thing is making zombies. What I really need to do is to get in close and use Fourth Note: Aura Awareness on the demon. That way I can find a way to save her.

Just then, I sense an aura behind me as I hear the demon say, "Well, well~ Looks like you're the first to be eaten!" I jump and roll away as I see Tanjiro's outlining aura come up behind her and try to cut her head off, but she was too fast. "Tch... What are those knuckleheads doing?! Why didn't any of them stop you!! I had my darling zombies separate so I didn't have to fight so many Slayers at once!!" she exclaims.

I was perplexed that she was acting like a kid as I asked what rank is she. She glares and tells me, "How dare you ask such a thing. Just look at my eyes! I'm Lower Rank 2, Kureha."

"Lower 2? So, you're  weaker than that train demon Tanjiro, Inosuke, Zenitsu, and Rengoku fought?" I wonder.

"Ugh!! I still can't believe Enmu stole my ranking with his ploy of fusing with the damn Mugen Train and using his weak Sleeping Demon Art. If anything, I'm a lot stronger than him!!" the demon yells as so many zombies appear all around us. I knew she would pull this trick.

Then, one of the zombies started talking like the demon before us, but the voice was all distorted and raspy, "So, you boys wanna join my army? I always have room for more soldiers!" The zombies kept talking like her but only saying one word before going to the next zombie.

That's when I get an idea/realization as I tell Tanjiro about my discovery, "I know how she's controlling all of the zombies individually!" He asks how and I just reply, "Well, I can always see an aura around everything, especially anything with a soul, but corpses have from a faint aura to no aura at all. And yet, all of the zombies have the same aura as the demon."

Tanjiro understands what I'm talking about as the demon laughs as she explains, "That's right! I found something more delicious and even more empowering than human bodies! Their souls!! And once I ate the souls, the bodies became empty husks to place a piece of my own demonic soul into each husk to control each and every zombie!"

She continues to laugh as I use Striking Chord on a few zombies, cutting them in half, but they don't get back up and whatnot. Seeing this, Tanjiro, and more importantly, the demon asks how I did that. I tell them, "If didn't have a demon as a friend, I wouldn't have believed that demons still had souls. 'Music is just one of the many ways to reach the soul of a person.' My father said that. And now I know that my Music Breathing is the only way to have all of these people from your control and let them finally rest in peace. Tanjiro, you and your sister, if she comes out to help, keep her busy while I keep destroying her soul fragments in the zombies. We can't do anything to her body if she has an escape plan to switch to a zombie and runaway." Tanjiro nods as he goes to fight Kureha as I start slashing at the zombies. Soon, Shoon, Inosuke, and Zenitsu, who appears to be asleep, run up to me as I tell them the plan. They nod and go help Tanjiro keep Kureha occupied as I sense her making a giant body made up of zombies with her right in the middle. I keep going with the soul-destroying with each and every zombie before I start to get swarmed. As I'm trying to get out of the zombie dogpile, I sense Nezuko rush in and kick a bunch of zombies off of me. That gave me enough room to use Drumroll to get rid of the rest of them on me. "Thanks, Nezuko. I trust that you'll have my back while I take care of the zombies?" I ask as I sense her nod.
