I DONT OWN POT!!

-TEZUKA POV-

I walk to the convenient store as my mother asked me to buy some ingredients for a cake she is making for grandpa's birthday. I wasn't sure why she asked me so late in the evening, but I had done my homework in advance so I had time. I took my time to think about the emotions I've been feeling lately when it came to Yayoi. I told myself that I wouldn't get these kind of emotions but they just appear every time she's around. I sigh slightly as I place my hands in my pockets, I look up to the night sky - the stars staring down at me as if mocking me about my emotions.

"Tezuka-san?" I hear Yayoi's voice from in front of me - I look ahead and my eyes widen a little at where she was stood - the spring flowers with the moonlight illuminating everything around her; she looked almost angelic.

"What are you doing out here, so late?" I asked, curious as a girl like her isn't safe at this hour.

"I take evening strolls... to occupy my mind," she replies, smiling sadly and it's not an emotion I have seen from her yet. I nod as I walk towards her, standing a few feet away from her I felt a little awkward.

"What about you?" She asks, looking at me.

"Grabbing ingredients for my mother," I reply and she smiles.

"May I join?" And all I could do was nod, and so, we walk together to the store, in silence as the night sky looks down upon us. The walk made me curious as to why she was always hesitant to join the student council.

"Why do you hesitate joining the council?" I ask and she sighs slightly, I briefly glance at her and I see her shrug.

"Everyone always thought I was bossy, so when I applied for the council in my other schools - a lot of people were against it," She replies and I almost wanted to tell the simple minded people off for it but I wasn't in a position to even scold them, I suppose because I don't know them.

"It's good to have leadership in a council. Don't think that you are bossy if you are suggesting something or if you're telling someone what isn't right because people do need to know the right ways as well," I reply as we continue to walk and she was silent, which worried me so I turn to face her but she wasn't next to me. I look behind me, and she stood there, her eyes wide.

"I... no one's said that to me before.. I'm surprised, gomen," she replies, regaining her composure as she smiles at me sweetly with a blush and I could only smile.

"I'm the Student Council President for the School and I'm always open to new ideas and suggestions so don't be afraid. Welcome to the Council, Yayoi," I say, smiling at her as I put my hands in my pocket. She smiles at me widely, her eyes sparkling.

"Your smile is nice too," she compliments but as soon as it came out from her mouth, she covers her mouth and blushes more. She walks ahead of me, I look at her blushing figure and I chuckled quietly to myself. She is an interesting one for sure, maybe getting to know her wouldn't be too bad. We make it to the convenience store and I grabbed the ingredients my mother wanted. I saw her go into the snack and frozen isle and when she came out, her basket was full of sweets, snacks and ice cream.

"How embarassing... erm I was hoping you'd take longer on finding the ingredients, heh," she sheepishly says, blushing.

"I'm not judging," I say as I turn to the cashier, paying for the things as she lines up behind me. She giggles and I looked at her after getting the change.

"You're funny, Tezuka-san. One minute you smile, then the second you return to your stoic expression in a matter of seconds," she says, going up to the cashier as she pays for her snacks.

"Thank you, come again," the lady at the counter says, smiling and we both nod as we bow, leaving the store.

"You don't often smile though, do you?" She asks, opening the small tub of ice cream that had a spoon in it already.

"I don't see the need to smile every time," I reply honestly and she hums as she eats her ice cream. I glance at her from the corner of my eye and I saw how she was enjoying her ice cream - a light flowery aura surrounding her.

"I think your smile is beautiful, I hope you can only show it to me hehe! Just kidding though," she says, giggling and I thought about it. I wouldn't mind only her seeing my smile or emotions.

"Sure," I reply and this causes her to look at me, then I half-smile awkwardly at her reaction. She swallows the ice cream then blushes as she looks at her hands.

"I-I wasn't expecting that..." she stammers, her face a blushing mess. She's definitely interesting, so many facial expressions in a few minutes, I wonder how her other expressions are like. The night sky remains a clear dark blue, the moon illuminating the both of us as we walk. We reached her place and realized we're next door neighbors.

"I live right there," I say, pointing at my house and she gasps as she laughs.

"What a coincidence, I suppose we'll be seeing each other often as my room is the balcony there," she points at the side of the house and I look up, realizing my balcony is opposite hers even with our traditional house.

"My room is the one facing yours," I point out and she blushes, then sheepishly laughs.

"It's like we're meant to meet, hehe," and I could only smile, then with a nod we bid each other goodnight as we head into our own houses. I give the ingredients to my mother, she asked why I took a while and I explained I met a friend along the way.

"Kunimitsu - she looked more than just a friend," my grandfather says, playing shogi by himself and I look at him, my expression stoic as I think how does he know I was talking with Yayoi.

"Father, eavesdropping isn't good," my father says, my grandpa just grins as he continues to play shogi by himself and I ignored the small remark as I helped mother make the cake for grandpa's birthday. I've taken an interest in her but I still wasn't sure if having these emotions were okay at all. I don't think it'll help me go pro, maybe asking Fuji might help despite his sadistic behavior.
