"Nee-sama, why are you always looking at the moon?"
"Because this Kanjō has one on my forehead."
"Ohhh, that makes sense.....why do you have a moon on your forehead?"
"....You're just going to keep asking why, huh Inuyasha?"
"Yup!"

She closed her eyes at the memory and laid down on the porch just outside Kyoujuro's room.
"What this Kanjō would give to relive those days..."
The memory is fresh in her mind, though the actual event was more than four hundred years ago, and she remembers, oh so clearly, how her brother dies. Kanjō remembers how she cradled his head to her heart, her touch tender and soft, and how she desperately wished the gaping hole in his chest would close like it always would. Her desperate pleas of help fell on deaf ears, the last of what proved her existence in their journey gone with the wind.
First, it was Sango and Miroku. Next was Kagome. All were deaths from old age, so she quickly accepted it, for it was a natural way to die. But Inuyasha, her dear little brother whom she cherished, died from an attack.
In the pitch black of night.
No, this Kanjō mustn't think like that.
Kyoujuro stirs awake as she is lost in time. He takes a moment to gather himself and observe his surroundings. It's his room, but there's a light filtering in from outside, so he looks and he sees Kanjō on the ground.
He takes a moment to admire the sight, her silver locks splayed out like a halo, pale skin glowing with the moon's light. She is beauty in the word itself.
But he remembers that he's only known her for a little over a day, and the sense of fascination dies down.
He doesn't know what she is.
Oyakata-sama had entrusted him with seeing who she is for himself. The black haired man was understanding of the fact they didn't trust her just yet, and while Kagaya put full faith in her credibility as a yokai instead of a demon, it was hard to believe such creature's existed.
"This Kanjō shall not delve into the past so far."
He hears her whisper a reminder.
The past? What was she remembering?
Kyoujuro moves to sit up, but regrets the action quickly when his arm loses strength. A loud this follows right after, Kanjō facing towards the sound and walking over when she sees the sight of an embarrassed Rengoku.
"Is it often that the Rengoku's fall like this?" She smiles behind her sleeve.
"No, just this one. Apparently..."
"You will rest until the afternoon tomorrow."
The flame haired man stares at her like an owl. He's clearly disappointed, you can't miss that look on his face, and pouts?
Kanjō thinks it's cute though.
"This Kanjō watched as you collapsed in front of her."
"Oh...."
So that's what happened to him. But he quickly realizes that, when he looks down, he is in fact shirtless.
"D-Did Kanjō-san also undress me as well?"
She tilts her head as the answer was obvious.
"Yes, how else would this Kanjō wipe down your body?"
He's red, putting the color of the tips of his hair to shame. To him, the room became unbearably hot as embarrassment washed over him. In this situation, Kyoujuro was acting like a pure maiden.
"You are unable to put your arms to use. Should this Kanjō help with dressing you as well?"
She lightly teases him with a small smile on her face.
Moving to help him up, she stops when remembering the stench of his sweat.
"This Kanjō suggests bathing yourself."
His legs are fine, as she observed earlier, so he should be able to get up and enter the bath. In fact, she should have washed her clothes in the meantime, considering the fact that her whole right sleeve was drenched in Kyoujuro's sweat.
A shiver runs up her spine.
This Kanjō had just forgotten about the fluid tainting my garment....
"It does seem like a bath is long overdue, I'll excuse myself to go."
He stands up easily, surprised at the fact. His arms were almost useless yet his legs were fine.
Kanjō wonders if there is enough time. Kibutsuji should be the least of their worries, how were the Hashira supposed to defeat an upper moon alone? They were stronger, faster than humans, not to mention their regenerative abilities.
Kanjō was thinking hard, the space between her brows scrunched up in frustration. There wasn't enough time, this is a rushed job and she knows it.
"Kagaya's request is quite selfish," She speaks to herself. "This Kanjō hopes he can comprehend that."
After all, she didn't have to abide by his request. Humans were creatures she barely cared for from the start and she could defend herself from Muzan's puppets. So why?
Why did she agree to all this?

Kyoujuro has to remind Kanjō to bathe.
She doesn't like getting wet because it makes her hair too poofy.
You know....like a dog after blow dried hair.
