"Yeah, yeah I understand. I'll call you back soon, okay? I have to go, love you, bye." I hung up the call in a hurry. "Sorry," I said, turning to Brody. "Where were we?"
"Who was that?" he asked.
"None of your business."
"Who was it?" he repeated.
"Like I said, it's none of your business."
"It was your boyfriend, wasn't it?"
"That's ridiculous, I don't have a-"
"What was his name again? Jake? Jack? Josh? Or all of them?"
"It's Jake." I said quietly. I've never liked Brody. His ego is bigger than the sun and his attitude is disgraceful. It probably doesn't help that he has tons of little fangirls who cry every night over the fact he doesn't know they exist. I shivered in disgust at the thought. He's so charming in the worst way possible. Ugh, I can't wait until we've finished recording this film. You know, when I first met him, I wasn't too bothered about him playing my love interest, but I think it's safe to say I've changed my mind. "Alright you two, cut the chit-chat. We have a movie to continue filming." the director called.
"I bet Josh won't be happy when he watches this scene." Brody smirked.
"It's Jake." I scowled at him. I have never been more regretful about auditioning for a role in my life."Hey, I'm home." I called.
"Hey beautiful, how was work?" His voice replied from the kitchen.
"It was awful," I said, taking off my coat. "Brody is such a-"
"Calm down; I think I have the perfect thing. Come here, my love." I placed my handbag down on the floor and made my way to the kitchen. I was met with the gorgeous sight of blood-red rose petals laid across the kitchen table and floor beneath the dim candlelight. Slowly, a smile crept across my face. "You're so sweet. You know you didn't have to do all of this."
"My girl deserves the best and only the best." he said from behind me. When I turned around to kiss him, my heart leapt, spun and danced as he looked at me with sparkles of love in his deep, brown eyes. I would say I'm used to this, but normally he does it standing on two feet: not on one knee. My hands flew up to my face to wipe the tears that immediately began to fall. "Avery Joanne Turner, you are the most beautiful girl in the world, and I'd like to spend the rest of my life with you. So what do you say," he paused for a second and opened the small box in his hands to reveal a gorgeous, sparkling ring. "Will you marry me?"
"Yes! Yes!! A million times yes!" I exclaimed, not even trying to hide my happiness. He slipped the ring onto my finger before jumping to his feet and pulling me close to him by my waist. "I love you forever, Jake." He ran his warm fingers through my hair gently, and stared lovingly into my eyes. His lips soon met mine as his hands found their way to the buttons on my clothes. As our love exploded like fireworks in a dark sky, the air around us was warm and passionate. My heart soared as his fingertips slowly traced along my skin. "I only want you," he whispered in my ear. "I only need you." His words and breath were staggered. "I'm all yours." I smiled. In that moment, where his skin was against mine, nothing had ever felt more perfect.
