Under The Tree ~ Yang Jungwon

Chapter 4

After lunch, I make my way to the maths building as that is my next class. Unsurprisingly, I'm the first one there and I make my way to the back of the class in the far right corner. Luckily for me I don't share my desk with anyone and when it comes to work I always work alone. As I take out my stuff from my bag the teacher walks in but surprisingly she isn't alone.

In walks I think his name was Jungwon from the group I just met at break. However the more I look at him the more I feel like I have seen him somewhere beforehand from what happened today. I don't really get the best vibes from him. If you could call it that, I desperately hope he doesn't sit next to me.

But looking around the class I realise it is the only seat available. Knowing this I move my bag from the now empty seat and my movement gains Jungwons attention. Instantly you can see the realisation in his eyes when he realises he will be sitting next to me.

As he now knows too I give him a small wave and smile to keep up my image but all I get back is an eye roll.

"Rude." I mutter under my breath.

"Okay everyone, this is Yang Jungwon. He is new to the school so please make him feel welcomed. Jungwon, as there is only one seat left, I am guessing you know where you will be sitting?"

All Jungwon does is nod and begin walking to the seat next to me. Not wanting to deal with his rudeness, I ignore him as he sits. I just continue acting as if he does not exist and work on my own.

Everyone begins to pack up for their next lesson, as I am doing so I decided it would be best if I ask Jungwon if he knows where he is going, making it seem like i didn't want him to get lost.

"Hey um I was just wondering if you knew where your next class was. Don't really want to be late huh" I awkwardly laugh at the end but he just ignores me and walks out of the class like I never existed. Shocked, I stood there for a second but then just grabbed my stuff and walked out. It's confirmed I do not like Yang Jungwon.

Lunchtime. Making my way to the cafeteria it wasn't very hard to spot the group of boys as when you walk in you can see everyone staring at them. Slowly, I make my way to them catching a few people's attention on the way.

"Hey are you guys ready for me to show you around or do you feel you have the hang of it?"

"Eunwoo hi! We were waiting for you. Are we still able to get that tour you offered?" Sunoo excitedly said.

"Yeah. Where would you guys like to start from?" I replied.

"How about we start from the school gates and make our way round?" Heesung suggests.

"Great idea!" Jake agrees.

"Okay! Haha school gates it is" I say as I begin to exit the cafeteria. I did notice that Jungwon didn't say a word or even react to the conversation and just began following the group as I led. Just as I reach the cafeteria doors, both Mina and Tae-hee walk in.

"Oh hello Eunwoo! We'd thought it would be okay if me and Tae-hee helped you show these boys around the school." Mina says remembering the reason I had to talk to them in the first place I was about to agree but suddenly Jay cuts in.

"No thanks, but we're good with just Eunwoo just showing us around." Even with the polite sentence he was very blunt with it and it was made pretty obvious that the boys didn't want them there.

"Aahhh okay. Well Eunwoo we won't be able to hang out today as we are suddenly very busy. See you later." Mina scoffs out as she and Tae-hee scurry off.
