I awoke in my bed, the loud ring of the alarm clock booming in my ears; The alarm clock read "8:45"

"Goddamit, I shouldn't have gone to bed so late" I quietly murmured to myself and made a guttural growl before reaching over to the loud alarm clock.

When I walked over to the window and ripped open the curtain, I was met by the blinding lights and the loud noise of mid-June Manhattan's streets, full of people yelling and cars honking; I opened my bedroom door and walked to the kitchen to grab a large, plump, shiny apple;
When I picked up the apple it shimmered in my hand like a star winking at the earth. I gently rubbed the apple against my chest and stumbled to the cupboard to grab a porcelain bowl and some honey nut cheerios.
I carelessly poured the cereal into the bowl while shamelessly ignoring the fallen pieces of cereal; as I sat down and got comfortably, I heard the phone; *ring ring* *ring ring*

I walked over to the loud phone and picked it up
"Who is it?"
A voice I hadn't heard before spoke in a cheerful voice "A few weeks ago you asked for an interview. Is this true?"
I responded quickly "I did yes, Is this for Jurassic World?"
The unusually cheery voice spoke again "Yes in fact We thought you would make a good fit after we looked at your resume; if you could be at LaGuardia Airport on the 23rd we will have you flown to Costa Rica, and then you will get on the boat to Nublar.
Also, don't worry about expenses; we will cover everything here and back"

After they finished speaking I added one last thing before they hung up "Does the plane I am going on have the crappy moist pretzels or the good ones?"
The woman stifled a laugh and told me that she hoped to see me on the payroll and almost immediately after she hung up the phone beeped loudly next to my ear like a cold wet rag against my cheek.

I went to the airport a few weeks later on the 23rd and my flight was called; I stood up from my seat and dragged my luggage to security for the scan and pat down, and the guards allowed me to pass.

When I got to Costa Rica I was captivated by the place's beauty, large beaches spanning miles and lush rainforests farther than the eye could see, The area reminded me of New York.

I looked at the distant ocean and saw from afar how lovely it was;   As I was starting off into space a young Hispanic man maybe 20s-30s drove over in a buggy and spoke to me "Español or English?" As soon as he finished his sentence I stated to him "I am rusty in Español but I can speak it" He asked again in an annoyed tone "Español or English?"
I apologized and told him " I speak English"
He asked, "Are you going to Jurassic World señor?" I responded quickly, "Yes actually, I am"

As we were driving the driver said to me "we are 2 miles away"  before i could answer a white man with a light brown stubble, trimmed mustache of the brown; and hair that was closer to short in length, walked up to our car and asked "are you guys going to the dock?"
Me and the driver both responded with a yes and after i talked to the driver, i told the man "hop in the back"

As we were driving I asked the man a few questions and learned his name was Owen Grady, and he was working at Jurassic World as a raptor handler.

When we had made it to the dock I handed the driver 445-CRC and as Owen and I walked away the driver yelled "¡adiós! ¡Buen viaje!" And I yelled back "¡Adios amigo!"

After me and Owen got to Isla Nublar he told me "I have to get to work, if you can we can meet up at the T-Rex Kingdom at... 6:30? Its Not a date just so you know"
"Yeah i can"
After I finished speaking, Owen walked off, waved goodbye, and yelled some words I couldn't hear.

When I got to the Innovation Center, I walked over to a young, male scientists and asked "Excuse me, but where do I go for a job interview?"
The scientist told me "You're the new 'recruit' I heard about? Meet me at the stairs, I will be back in a minute."

I walked over to the stairs, occasionally looking at the holographic clock up near the 'cone' of the roof. "12:30"
I looked at the lab entrance and saw the scientist walkout As he walked over I smiled and waved, and when he got over to me he talked "If you follow me up these stairs we can begin"

I gave him a surprised look and asked "You're interviewing me? But you work here as a scientist, why are they making you interview?"
The young scientist responded " That is exactly what I said! I got a masters degree in biology to be a scientist not an interviewer! Im not even the manager! That is something Claire should be doing!"
I thought for a minute and then spoke "Claire Dearing?"

The scientist then muttered under his breath
"Of course, you would know Claire before you even got here" The scientist opened the door and told me to sit down.

When the interview ended and I exited the room, I looked up at the clock and it showed It was nearly half past six.

as I was about to walk out of the Innovation Center's front doors, I grabbed a map brochure and looked at it I looked at the map and was torn between going to the "Pachy Arena" or The Gyrosphere Tour. After a minute or two of thinking I decided the Gyrosphere Tour would be the better choice.

As I approached the tours line, I noticed how long it was; I looked around and notice that there was a sign that read "Employee Tour"
I walked over to it and pulled out my newly gotten 'Jurassic World Employee Card' Scanned it, and started the ride.

NOTES.
Damn, I was a little bitch 5 months ago and I realize how full of myself I was lol.
My writing skills were considerably worse than now too. I'm not even halfway through editing and I can clearly see the childish babbling cluttering my screen.
