Twenty-Seven

Alyssa sighed as she woke in bed next to Cal. They had been away together with the kids and they had enjoyed it.

Alyssa smiled as she walked into the kitchen. Cal was there making breakfast for Ella. Ella smiled. "Mummy!" She squealed.

"Hello gorgeous girl."

Ella smiled. "Daddy is making breakfasts. For me," she told her as she finished colouring her picture.

Alyssa smiled. "I can see that. He's a good daddy isn't he?" She said.

"Sometimes."

Alyssa walked into work. Rita walked towards her and sighed. "Bailee left. She said she's not coming back. She told me to tell you she'll come and see you soon," she told her.

Alyssa frowned. "What do you mean?" She asked as she looked to her.

"I mean Iain drove her away. She doesn't want to have her baby where she isn't wanted. But she's going to name her Isabella Dean."

Alyssa shook her head. "She can't have left. She's my best friend. I need her."

"So do I. But she's gone. And there's nothing we can do about it," Rita said as she walked off.

Alyssa stood there and sighed. She tried to call Bailee but she wasn't answering.

Cal pulled Alyssa into the on call room. She looked to him. "I can't have sex. I have a patient."

Cal laughed and kissed her. "I don't wanna have sex. Well, I do. But I don't at the moment."

"Good. Rita told me that Bailee has left. Iain finally drove her away."

Cal sighed and looked to her. He smiled. "It's going to be happy. I promise you."

"I don't know. I'm just glad that I've got you. Don't ever hurt me again," Alyssa said as she pulled him close to her and kissed him. "I love you."

"I love you too. You don't have to worry about me hurting you. I promise."

Iain walked towards Alyssa. He smiled. "Hey. So I told Bailee I wanted you back. She's gone so we can make that happen."

Alyssa turned to him and shook her head. "No. Do not put that on me. You told her you didn't want her. That's why she's left."

Iain sighed. "I shouldn't have cheated. I really shouldn't have. You were the best thing that happened to me and I messed up," he said.

"Yeah I know. You clearly didn't want me. Or else you wouldn't have. So you need to put this right," she told him as she walked off.

Iain sighed and watched as she walked off. He knew he wanted her back. But deep down, he knew she wouldn't have him back. Not after how he had been acting.

Alyssa sighed as she walked towards the crèche. She wanted to see how the girls were doing.

Ella smiled as she coloured in some pictures. Alyssa sat down with her. Poppy was asleep in her car seat.

Alyssa looked to Ella. "That's a gorgeous picture baby. Shall mummy put it on the fridge at home?" She asked as she looked to him.

Ella shook her head. "No. I gives it Bailee when she come see me," she told her.

Alyssa sighed and smiled. She knew that Ella adored Bailee. And she knew it would upset her knowing Bailee had left.

Alyssa was standing by the car with the girls. Iain walked over to her. "All you have to do is say the word. And then we can leave. Me, you and the girls."

Alyssa looked to him in shock. But she had no idea how this was about to change it all. Especially with her and Cal.
