Beomgyu got into the vehicle, anxious and a little nervous to get to a place where he would not only be in contact with other vampires but also with shapeshifters.  Beomgyu had never lived in the city before, he had always been locked up in his castle surrounded by other vampires always, all the time, he didn't know how he should act but honestly he was looking forward to it.

Supposedly his closest friend had promised to accompany him on the trip but luckily for him (or maybe not) he had not seen him in the entire day since he had recently been assigned to a new position higher than the previous one that he had and perhaps he had more important things to do.  Beomgyu did not blame him at all for that.

The trip was relatively quick, Beomgyu got distracted by reading a newspaper throughout the journey until the vehicle stopped and the door opened for him to get out and see the city.  As he stood up, Beomgyu took a deep breath, inhaling the scent.  It smelled of pollution, but he could also sense a hint of something else that disturbed him.

Beomgyu frowned, Sungoh approached after noticing his expression and asked "Is something wrong, Lord Lenfent?"

Beomgyu sniffed the air some more, the weather was warm and a bit humid, there was that something else that he didn't like, though he couldn't quite figure out what it was.

"It's no big deal" he said calmly

But Beomgyu knew that it was something important, he noticed ever since he laid foot in the city.  The other vampires couldn't feel it as his vampire senses were more developed and sharp than the other vampires.

He felt uncertainty within his being, as if something was calling him, as if it was a magnet.

After that trip, the only thing Beomgyu wanted was to eat some and then sleep, it was almost midnight and he was getting tired.

"Let's go, I don't want to be here for longer"

Sungoh nodded and opened the car door for him once again.  Beomgyu took in the scenery of the city as they passed between the vividly colored buildings and ads lighting up the beautiful night.

"Where is our hotel?  Could it be that I have a reservation in a penthouse or maybe in one of the highest floors of a skyscraper?" Beomgyu muttered under his breath as he looked at various hotels in the city.

But Beomgyu would not be staying in any of those hotels, he realized as they left the city and entered the forest.  The darkness completely surrounded them, Beomgyu lowered the car window and breathed in the fresh air, the smell was much better than the city, here it smelled of pure nature, the smell of gardenia filled his nostrils making him smile, he had always liked that aroma, it was very relaxing but Beomgyu couldn't sleep as the cold night breeze hit his face keeping him awake for the whole short trip.

Beomgyu distinguished some scents that belonged to shapeshifters, setting him on alert, they were close, maybe there was a pack living somewhere close

"Why are we here, Sungoh?  I thought there was a thing going on in this area between shapeshifters and vampires."

"I actually did some research on the shapeshifters of this area and the pack that lives mear here is very calm and they don't have any type of infraction against the law.  Also look at how beautiful this place is, I just couldn't help but reserve this place for you, my lord."

Beomgyu stopped looking at the trees around him to focus on the direction they were going and he was fascinated.  The vehicle stopped outside a modern two-story cabin, the place was indeed beautiful, now Beomgyu understood the reason why Sungoh had taken him there instead of staying in the chaotic city, once they reached the woods he felt at peace, everything was silent and the chilly breeze from the night cooled his warm skin.  The door was opened by the butler who greeted then and gave way to the interior of the cabin

"Good evening your majesty, we were looking forward to your arrival"

Beomgyu looked at each servant there and felt a slightly weird scent in the air, they were afraid of him, and he noticed.

"Thank you for the warm welcome but you don't need to call me your highness or majesty, you can just call me Beomgyu"

All the servants were stunned by what they had just heard from the royal

"Well maybe that's too much to ask but at least call me Lord Lenfent, and don't be afraid because I'm not like my father"

Beomgyu flashed a smile at them and felt the atmosphere lighten a bit.

"If you don't mind, I'm tired so I will go to sleep now, thank you and good night everyone"

Beomgyu didn't wait for anyone's answer, he went upstairs guessing that his room was upstairs, he heard footsteps behind him and realized it was Sungoh, the idea of ​​using his super speed to leave him behind was very tempting but he was so tired and hungry that even doing that would be exhausting in his state.

So, I have something in mind that I want to do which is a new book but I don't want to publish it yet cuz I want to finish this and my other on going au 😅🥲

Maybe I might do another update in a few hours 🙃
