The sun was shining over the town in Adventure Bay as everyone was doing their usual routines. The PAW Patrol was getting ready for a road trip to the jungle to visit Tracker and Carlos. It had been a while since the two and the PAW Patrol had seen each other. What made the road trip more exciting was that Ryder and Carlos had agreed to have the team over for a sleepover in the jungle with him and Tracker. The pups had packed their tents and their sleeping bags and trotted into the PAW Patroller. When they all sat down, Ryder gave Robo-dog the command and off they went. As the PAW Patrol started to leave town, Chase found that one pup was not having fun in the moment like the others. That pup was Marshall. He had his eyes glued to the ground, giving a depressive sign.

"Hey, Marshall, you okay?" The German Shepherd quizzed his best friend.

Marshall heard Chase's voice and glanced up at him and blushed.

"Y-yeah, I'm good." He answered. He tried not to stutter but failed.

"Are you sure?" The German Shepherd asked again, still not convinced. Marshall was in a blushing mess and didn't realize it.

"I'm positive!" He quickly responded, still blushing.

Chase still wasn't convinced but knew he had to trust his best friend.

"Alright then." He said, turning his gaze to the other pups.

'Phew. That was a close one.' Marshall thought to himself.

Over the past couple of months, Marshall had developed a crush on the German Shepherd. He didn't want to accept the fact he was gay until he eventually told Ryder what he was feeling. The ten-year-old boy said that what he was feeling was normal and would love him no matter what. The dalmatian had thought about confessing to Chase today but the road trip deferred his plan. He still has a chance but that was up to Marshall if he could get his act together. The team saw the jungle up ahead and let out howls of excitement. The team saw monkeys swinging on ropes as they passed by trees. The team eventually made it to where Tracker and Carlos were waiting for them and stopped. The PAW Patroller's door opened and out came exciting howls as the pups exited the PAW Patroller.

"Hi, Tracker! Hi, Carlos!" The pups greeted cheerfully.

"Hola, amigos!" Tracker responded happily. "Me and Carlos are so excited to get this sleepover started!"

"Yes," Carlos agreed. "We'll be roasting marshmallows around the campfire and telling stories."

"Well what are we waiting for? Let's get this sleepover started!" Ryder announced.

The pups cheered as they all helped with the campfire and separated leaves and twigs. Dusk was far off and wouldn't take place until a couple hours had passed so the pups took this time to hang out with their chihuahua friend and told them how their week had been. As they talked, Chase noticed that Marshall was looking at him. When the two pups would lock eyes, the dalmatian would look away and blushed. That was the second time Chase caught Marshall blushing and looking away from him. Chase knew something was up. That evening when the night filled the sky, Ryder, Carlos, and the pups sat by the campfire and roasted marshmallows and shared a few laughs telling stories. After a while, Ryder, Carlos, and the pups decided to call it a night and headed for their tents. The pups could pick one sleeping partner to sleep in their tent. Ryder and Tracker would sleep in Carlos' tent, Rocky chose Zuma, Skye chose Rubble, and Chase obviously chose Marshall because he was his best friend. The pups said goodnight to each other and soon closed their eyes and went to sleep. Chase got in his sleeping bag and tried to fall asleep but couldn't. The way Marshall was acting around him was still stuck in his head, trying to figure out what was going on with him. And while pondering the thought, he felt like he wasn't the only one who was wide awake. Chase looked over behind him to see Marshall laying on his side, looking fast asleep. Or that's what he thought.
