Seiko woke up early in the morning. She needed to go back home and confront her father. She quietly slipped out of the covers and got dressed. Seiko picked up a piece of scrap paper and wrote a note to Naomi.
It read, "I'll be back in a little bit, Naomi. Love you :)
- Seiko"Seiko left the room and went to the front door where she slipped on her sneakers. She left and started walking on the sidewalk towards her house. On the way she thought of multiple scenarios in which this talk could go.
The first scenario was probably the least likely of the three; her father would completely understand and act as though nothing ever happened.
The second scenario would be the most likely to happen; her father would be mad, but would still welcome her into the house.
The last scenario, and the one that Seiko definitely didn't want to happen; her father would be outraged and wouldn't let her back into the house until she fixed her ways.
Seiko shook the thoughts from her head as she stopped in front of her house. She looked up and gulped. Seiko hadn't been this scared and nervous in a long time. She rubbed her hands on her jeans as she walked up the front steps. There she stood, in front of the door. Seiko took a deep breath and knocked.
Seiko's head was down as the door opened.
"Seiko...?"
That voice. Seiko thought.
Seiko looked up and smiled, "Yuu!"
Seiko picked Yuu up in a giant bear hug. She set him down and held his shoulders.
"Are you okay? Is everyone okay?" Seiko asked.
A tear rolled down Yuu's face as he nodded, "I thought you left forever..."
Seiko shook her head, "I wouldn't leave you guys just like that." She explained as she wiped Yuu's face with her thumb, "Naomi has been protecting me, okay? You have nothing to worry about, right?"
Yuu shook his head.
"Good." Seiko said, "Where's dad? I need to talk to him."
"He's in the living room." Yuu answered.
Seiko stood up and looked down at Yuu, "Take everyone upstairs to your room. We need to be alone, alright?"
Yuu nodded and let Seiko walk inside. She saw Yuu run upstairs after getting the siblings together.
Seiko closed the door and walked to the living room. Sure enough, her dad was sitting there, doing his work on the coffee table.
"Hey, dad." Seiko said coldly.
Her father's head snapped up to look at Seiko with wide eyes.
"What are you doing here?" He asked as he stood up.
"To talk."
"About what?" Seiko's dad asked angrily.
"About Naomi and I." Seiko said, "You don't understand, dad. We love each other." She said confidently.
"You will not be dating that girl. You need to be dating a boy, not a girl." He said in disgust.
Seiko's father was standing in front of Seiko now.
"You can't do that! It's my decision, not your's!" Seiko screamed back, "I don't care what you say! I love her and she loves me!"
SMACK!
Seiko stumbled a couple steps back with the force of the hit. Seiko's face turned red where her father's hand slapped across her face.
"You will not be living in this house if you are dating a girl!" He yelled.
