Chapter 4: Why Is This Happening?!

Guess who's back from the deeead! Sorry for the gap, spring break just ended (Disney and Universal was lit tho) and I found out someone was in love with me and might still be and we both are in relationships so ayyyyyy- We are great friends though so ON WITH THE SHOW! ((That was written a month ago, things are better, just did my last concert of the yearrrr))

Leave it to Roman to be dancing in his room (Idea thanks to Emo_Nightmare94!) Roman had just received a response, a live response from his soulmate! He even gave himself a clever cover name!

Tal, only close people will know it's me. It's so code-like!

Roman had a smile so big, his face hurt. He walked to his bed, flopping on his back and staring at the ceiling. He started daydreaming about how he'd find his soulmate.

Maybe it will be during a school dance, or the final moments of the musical! Or while we both sit on the beach at sunset!

As Roman dreamed, he slowly drifted into a deep sleep, a smile on his face.

After Roman had woken up to another round of Remus and actually ate breakfast today, he was in the car with Remus, telling him the events of last night.

Re- "You talked to your soulmate for the first time because he injured himself?!"

Ro- "Yeah, I hope he's ok, but it was so amazing!"

Re- "Only my brother would enjoy someone hurting themselves to talk to them-"

Ro- "Hey! That's not what I meant!"

They arrived at school, now both walking to the small courtyard in front

Re- "Didn't sound like it!~"

Ro- "Oh c'mon, I'm not you!"

This continued for some time before they approached their friends, Roman sitting next to Virgil and Remus next to Logan. As he sat down, Roman noticed Virgil's hand wrapped in bandages?

Ro- "Dear Zeus, whatever did you do to your hand, Stormy?"

Vi- "U-Um... I accidentally punched my mirror..."

Roman tensed up as the group talked about it, asking Virgil questions. His mind raced with memories of the night before.

I mean, he is considerably attractive- but I just got to know him! He might not even like me as a friend, let alone a soulmate! Then again, why would he accept my nickname for him? And why would he even talk to me, let alone show me his drawings? Maybe he doesn't notice, I'll just pretend I didn't know and if he finds out it's me, we can maybe talk and maybe be together cuz he is rather adorable and good at art and-

His thoughts were interrupted by an idea Patton had.

Pat- "Hey, Virge, what if we signed your cast?"

Vi- "Oh... sure, I don't mind!"

After almost everyone else signed it, laughing and talking about their own personal drawings and signatures, Roman got handed a sharpie. He smiled a bit, taking Virgil's arm carefully and writing his full name and a drawing of a crown, turning a bit pink in the face.

Maybe this could hint at who I am?

As he finished, he saw Virgil smile at his drawing and the warning bell suddenly rang and the first few classes went by in a flash for Roman, his mind filled with anxious and confused thoughts as he tried to get it through his head.

Is he really my soulmate? Would he actually be ok with being with me of all people? We just met a few days ago, I don't want him to be rushed or scared! He might think I'm weird. But I get to see him every day! I can make art with him and talk to him and hopefully become more-

He was interrupted by a tapping, looking at the strict math teacher glaring at him. Mrs. Fosting.

Mrs. F- "Roman Talon, I expect my students to be listening to these notes for our test."

Ro- "O-Oh, so sorry!"

With one final stare, she turned back to the board and writing. Roman sighed.

Why is this happening!?
