POLLY GREY AND ADA SHELBY were drinking tea in their kitchen in utter silence.
Neither of them knew what to say, especially because one specific girl always picked out their subjects to talk about.
Since Lucrecia went missing, everything changed.
The business wasn't going that smooth and people distanced themselves even more from them, since it was the blonde girl who always pulled in people.
And let's not forget the atmosphere in the Shelby house changed drastically.
It was colder, not happy anymore and lost all it colors.
It's black and white, rather than colorful.
It's quiet and sad, rather than laughs and happiness.

Her disappearance changed the whole Small Heath, who adored the floor Lucrecia walked on.
It changed the Garrison, which was now nearly empty and not so filled with people who simply liked the presence of the young girl.

It took a big toll on the usually cold-hearted and strict woman, Polly Grey.
She searched for the blonde girl in all England, asked business partners and god knows who, but there wasn't a trace.
Lucrecia's disappearance brought the woman heartache and it felt like her second daughter left her.
Because that is what Lucrecia was to her, her daughter, who she cherished and loved dearly.
Of course she had Ada and she wasn't alone, but it felt like she was.
The blonde, young woman was her kindred spirit, a person who thinks exactly like her and she prays to god multiple times and every day, that she comes back.
She prays for her daughters health and coming back.

Let's not forget a person who was just as affected by this like Polly, when not even more.
While it changed everyone, it 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘬𝘦 Tommy Shelby.
Hearing her going missing and not even coming back for over a year, made him realize how he depended on her.
While he tried to stay alive and not risk anything in war at first, he didn't even care now.
There wasn't a person he has to come back for.
His aunt and sister would have his brothers, they wouldn't be alone, so he didn't try to stay safe for them.
So he grew reckless, taking any risk to win the war.
Tommy Shelby was out for blood and it didn't matter if it was his or that of his enemy's.
Not until he hears she is back.

AS POLLY AND ADA WERE DRINKING tea, not uttering a word, the night broke in.
The sun set down and darkness overcame Small Heath.
The entire house was silent or the entire area was quiet.
No one disturbed this overbearing silence, until—

There was a loud banging on the door, which caused both women to jump in their seats.
They looked each other in confusion and thought about a person who could be visiting them.
Yet there wasn't one.
The banging appeared again and this time, Polly signaled Ada to get her the gun, while they slowly made their way to the door.
Polly holding a gun in her right hand.
