"Sooo Shun, watcha reading!" Callie asked skipping towards him. The boy was already too infested with this chapter book that his best friend, Ajit, suggested him to read, and he didn't even notice Callie was even there. Both of them were in one of the rooms in the academy to chill in with friends or independent!
"Well it's another murder mystery story I was asked to read by Ajit!" Shun explained. "I swear.. that boy has such amazing taste in books"
Callie smiled at him, another reason she adores Shun.
She took a seat next to him and started to lean towards the book on his lap to read a page herself. Shun is already on page 163; it's talking about the protagonist talking to themselves about how much they suspect a guy thinking that he's the one behind the 12 dead bodies in a large storage area. Then
also calling it a murder feast of manipulation.
"Oh wow, it already sounds intense" Callie muttered to Shun. He agrees to her. "Yeah, I suppose I'll stop right there too" Shun grabs a bookmark next to him and place it between the pages where he'll read again another time. He closes the book then stuffs it in his backpack.
"I've spent most of my time reading, but it's best to take breaks y'know?" Shun chuckled, it didn't took long until Callie joined chuckling along with him."Yeah yeah sure, anyways! Wanna have a bakugan battle together!" Callie asked while raising her fists in excitement and also to show that she's actually eager to battle.
"I don't see why not, I had a feeling Hydrous was pretty much in a boredom state the entire time too" After Shun mentions that, Hydrous popped up on his shoulder groaning in relief.
Callie does a little cheer to herself which Shun have always found it as 'adorable' to him. "Y'know, I actually had doubt that you wouldn't want to. Strange right?" Callie noted with a soft giggle at the end.
The blue streaked brawler jolted in surprise. "What why?!" He shouted in confusion. Callie was the same as he was. "I know right! Like how could I doubt a sweet boy like you would ever decline me" she cross her arms in disbelief.
'SHE SAID I'M A WHA!?' Shun legit screamed in his head. Automatically his face flushes. Hydrous whistles in his ear trying to get his partner to catch the meaning (💀)
"Uh.. hey! How 'bout we just go battle for now and forget about this, Capeesh?" Callie interrupted, giving him a wink and a gun hand sign.
"R-RIGHT!"
