The 4-Townies Together Again

It was June 3rd, 2002.

Morning arrives.

Abby hurries to the middle school entrance.

She halts herself to catch her breath. Abby was not used to running. She was already on the staircase. Abby gripped on the stair railing.

Then, she detects a familiar 4-Townie.

"What's the rush, dorkette?"

It was Tyler. He glanced at her mystifyingly.

Abby glances back at him. She frowned. "I have something important to tell my girlfriends, dude." Abby replied. She tries to breathe in and out easily.

Tyler rolls his eyes. He was grumpy. "Panda girl, skater girl and vampire girl aren't here yet." Tyler stated.

Abby raises her eyebrow. "You mean Mei, Mir and Priya." She speculated.

He gestures at Abby and himself. "You say what you like to say. And I say what I like to say." Tyler declares.

She shook her head at him. Abby gets stern. "You can be a little nicer, you know." She argued.

And then, another voice shouts out at him.

"Hey, sportshead! Don't forget you're a 4-Townie too!"

It was Mei. She stood tall with her hands on her hips. Mei appears ambitious. She got her two friends behind Mei. They looked determined.

Abby was delighted. "Mei! Mir! Priya! You're all here!" She yelled.

He huffed. Tyler was annoyed. "Whatever, dork." He said. Tyler faces Mei. He gestured her to Abby. "By the way, the fab girl wanted to talk to you for something." Tyler mentioned.

Mei, Miriam and Priya narrowed their eyes at him.

Abby raises her fist at him. She was angry. "What did you call me, knucklehead?" Abby added, asking. He backs away from her slowly. His eyes got widened. She threatens him. "Come over here and call me 'Fab Girl' again, Tyler. Don't mess with my fashion look, Mr. Funnybones." Abby argues.

He shook his head. "I don't have to take this." Tyler added. He was going inside the Pearson Middle School. "Later, guys." Tyler said.

Miriam crisscrosses her arms. She was firm. "Don't speak to us if you can't say anything nice to us, bonehead!" Miriam hollered.

Priya shakes her head thrice times.

Abby sat on the stairs. She spoke aggravatingly in Korean. Abby took deep breaths.

Mei walks towards Abby. She sat next to her. "What's up, Abby?" Mei asks.

Abby encountered Mei. She smiles at her. "Mei, I have a way to spend our summer together." Abby replied.

Mei was bewildered. "What?" She inquired.

Miriam and Priya walked forth to Abby and Mei. They are overwhelmed.

Abby pulled out the brochure from her overall pocket. She shows it to her in excitement. "My mom told me about her summertime when she was thirteen." Abby added. She glances at the three girls. "Dudes, we're going to Camp Aphrodite this June!" Abby shouted.

Miriam grabbed the brochure hastily from Abby. She was unanticipated at it. "Girl, your mom really told you about it?" Miriam wonders.

Priya examines the brochure. Then, she stared at Abby sternly. "Dude, is this thing really from your mom?" Priya wondered too.
