You watch the metal clang against each other in echo. Thor's hammer slammed against Loki's Sceptre. "Ah! I'm so glad you decided to join us today Brother!" Thor cheers, smiling at Loki. Loki doesn't even try to smile back and hits him back into the ground. Thor jumps up immediately and has his hit blocked again. "I think he's shaking.." Lady Sif whispered to the other warriors.

A few laughs went around. But you kept watching. You were sure Loki would win. As the hits came and came you kept your eyes focused on the green-eyed man. As you blinked it finished. Thor stood in front of Loki's groaning body. "Up brother! That was excellent!" you could practically hear Loki's scowl. You tilted your hand a bit and made Thor fall. Loki's eyebrow arched before he stormed off. You glance at the others who were all congratulating Thor on his feat. You follow Loki as usual.

You're a painter. You came from a medium-wage family, a medium-sized house, and a medium-sized family. You were not the favorite. Ever since you were little you heard a humming in the back of your head. One day it got too loud. You felt like your head was going to burst. But you followed its instructions, a bloody field, people lining up. 2 sides, children, men, women. In minutes you were gasping for air- you had forgotten to breathe. A scene was painted in blood and chalk on the ground of your room.

18ish year's later you used your paintings to go places, and see things. Just a step through a scene of yours and you were there. So you were here now.

Loki stomped through the halls in a huff. You almost smiled at his pout. Though he couldn't see you.
No one could. Not like this.
When you went through your paintings, you figured out a few things. No one could see you. You could touch and move things. And you only showed in reflections.

Loki swiped through another book, in his study, which he locked himself in since dawn now. His tired eyes lingered over the Asgardian texts. Your eye followed the text with him until you noticed he had slowed down. You smile and watch him fall asleep on his desk. Though this wasn't the first time. You grab his silky blanket from his bed and wrap him up. Without your little magic tricks, he would have woken up for sure. Loki was a bit paranoid when you got to know him.

He was scared, of being last. Of always being last. But he wasn't to you.
Not that he'd ever know that.
You close the book and placed his bookmark in, before organizing his now a bit messy desk. You watch his form move up and down. Everything about him was perfect to you. A smile came across your lips again, you never felt this back then.

You guide a few of his messy strands behind his ear, before the humming returns. You frowned and left the room in a rush to get rid of the sound.

💫

Loki woke up to the sound of familiar quiet footsteps. "Mother." Frigga don't stop her stride and replied with a hum. He lifted his head to see his now organized desk and his blanket. "If you're going to bring your sheets all the way over there I don't see why you can't just go all the way to your bed, Loki." she scolded. He felt the green fabric in his hands. "I didn't. I must've fallen asleep here." she grabbed a few books from his desk. "Hm. Gaurdian angel perhaps?"

Frigga kisses his forehead before stacking his books upright and leaving. Loki looked at the bookmark. That's not his.

💫

Blood dripped from your fingertips. You couldn't stop. It wouldn't let you stop. The paints and blood mixed together. Strange harmony on the wall. The canvas collection had gotten too troublesome for you. So whenever you needed to let it out you'd find a big old building or large surface.

"Darling."

You flinch, dropping your textured brush. Frigga stood a few feet behind you. Her face held great concern. You look around you. "You see me.." she nods, walking to you kindly. She cups your face. Her hand leads into yours and untightens it. "What troubles you Gaurdian Angel?" you gulp. "How long have you known?"

She tucks your hair behind your ear. "Though I'm not completely sure how long ago your visits began, a while." "I appreciate everything you've done for my son." you tilt your head. "I wish you'd let him see you." you sigh. "What lets me come here... Makes me do this. Sometimes I.." you cover your hand with your own. "I can't stop.." She smiles, watching your tears fall. She pulls you towards her lightly, pressing your forehead.

💫

Fire blasted through the corridors and rooms in seconds. Tough, scarred men in leather jackets we're pulled into the flames and ash. As explosions littered the scene, a battalion of golden ships show in the debris.

You jolt up, realizing where you were. Very comfy sheets. Frigga hums, from the seat next to you, a teacup to her lips. "You my dear, have been asleep for 3 moons. You do need a better sleep schedule." you groan, feeling that pounding in the back of your head begin to return. "a true gift you have, and a true price you do pay every day." "you don't have to carry that burden alone..." "Y/n." she smiles, "Y/n." you turn the sheets over to see the beautiful nightgown she put you in. And your bandages hands.

"Thank you. Why are you doing this?" "Why does anyone do anything?" you nod, "fair. But thank you." "stop thanking me Y/n. I put your clothing on the stool beside the vanity. If you ever need somewhere to sleep, I have this room locked from all guard." you smile. "Thank you." "enough." she stands up and lifts your chin. "Please care for yourself, dear." you pause and nod. "If you ever need anything, you know where to find me." you watch her leave and close the door gently.

"Thank you."

💫

You enter Loki's room, back in your normal clothes. You wonder why she hadn't mentioned your Midgaurdian clothes. You were sure she knew where you were from.

Loki sat in the same cushioned chair with a new novel in hand. You slightly frowned knowing he had finished the last one without you. He sighed and laid his head down. You watched his form soften. You fiddle with your bandages fingers before grabbing a blanket again and covering him. In a second he grabbed your wrist. You became visible on impact. His eyes widened.

"So that was you." you try to pull your hand back. He pulls you closer. "Why have you been doing this?" "why not?" you tilt your head. "What?" he let go of your hand. You rub the bandages in anticipation. "How did you find out?" "didn't think I'd notice your tidings or tuck-ins?" you don't blink. "Frigga didn't take the credit.." you whisper. "No. Who else knows about you?" you hum, "Your Mother." Loki looks up. "Odin doesn't know. I'm sure of it," you speak up.

"You know he can be oblivious of all people.." you whisper again, "What are you going to do about it?" Loki stands up, before lifting your chin.

"I think I'll take my blessing."
