Amethyst awoke rather abruptly, her sleep-fogged mind searching for what had managed to wake her. Her brain slowly regained consciousness as she heard what had woken her in these godforsaken early hours. Surprisingly the young synth girl made a pretty convincing picture of a sleeping child; hair messed up, sheets wrapped around her body, and a hand over her face, her quiet breathing the only indication she was alive still.
Amethyst, slowly getting dressed, heard the sound a bit better this time, sounding like a hurricane battering the front door for a second. She glanced over and almost laughed as she saw the younger girl shift in the bed, burying her head under the sheets.
Once Amethyst finally got out of the room, a scowl the size of Texas forming on her face when she read the time, it only being [4:30 am], the sun not even brightening the horizon yet. Glancing around, she realized that had this interruption not taken place she would have still been so dead to the world it would be considered necromancy to even be awake.
She grumbled as she tried to see who was outside, resorting to simply keeping her gun at chest/stomach level, her simple metal armor hanging haphazardly off her torso and her purple hair a disheveled mess as she slowly opened the door, a shocked female caravan guard greeting her as the door swung fully open.
Still not comprehending the single woman before her, Amethyst's eyes scanned the surroundings for a possible ambush, before turning back to the unknown person, finally seeing her lips moving.
"Who are you?" They accidentally asked at the same time, Amethyst decided to simply start speaking before the woman could try again.
"Listen, you have woken me at a rather ungodly hour, after I had to fight synths for 2 hours straight yesterday, so, who are you, why are you here, and how many do you have with you?"The woman stared down at the young girl, a smirk on her face which only wavered at the massive revolver's barrel still leveled with her chest.
"Well Purple, since I don't know you or your name, I'm here to speak with my boss Rusty and make sure I still have a job, and how many what? Apples? Mutfruit?"Amethyst audibly groaned at the smart remark, her gun raising to the woman's face, an annoyed look on the younger girl's face.
"Listen, 'caravaner' , since you aren't so inclined to give your name either, give me one good reason to trust you, and not have Gus rip you a structurally superfluous new behind?
And how many people are with you? I see the brahmin but where are the rest of your caravan?"The woman was confused as to who this 'Gus' was, but she was pretty sure she could probably take him in a fight. Regardless she was tired and irritated as well, leading brahmin could be more difficult than she thought. So to try and shorten the amount of time she could see the massive bullet loaded into the disproportionately large rifle the small girl was wielding at her face, she finally gave in to the girl's questions, her arms crossed as she began speaking, the sarcastic tone replaced with a dead tired one.
"Look kid, there is no caravan, not after they shorted me on payment for the fifth time, and as for the name? Just call me Anna, seems like everyone else does. As to why you should trust me? Rusty has had me working as his eyes and ears for almost a year now, he actually gets my caps to me on time or he'll give me a discount on any gun I pick out. Only reason I didn't go in guns blazing is because last time I did that, a mini-nuke almost took the corner off the foundation...so is the crusty bot still kicking or do I need to find other employment?"
Amethyst sighed and waived her in as she stepped aside, yawning quietly as she shut the door, the faint sound of mechanical rolling noises heard passing by on the outside. As amethyst slowly made her way to where her focus was picking up Rusty's signal active, hearing the noises of a weapon slowly being disassembled. As she entered the small area she saw Rusty hard at work disassembling raider and institute weapons in mere seconds, before he seemingly noticed them, a surprised look on his face as Amethyst appeared in the doorway, a look of annoyance as he spotted Anna beside her.
