My mom and I sit on the airport lobby waiting for my plane to be called. She strokes my hair and she has a sad look on her face. I see my family outside the blinds sitting in the car waiting for my mom.
"Mama, are you okay?" I ask
No response
"Mama?"
"Hmm hun?"
"You good?"
"Yeah why?"
"Well cause I'm leaving and i wont see you for more than 6 months."
"Im kinda sad my baby is leaving but i have to be strong for your sister. Come on you have ten minutes. Lets not waste them by being sad."
"Okay mama."
My moms strokes keep getting gentler and softer as the time passes. I feel a tear drop from her face into my scalp.
"Mama? Don't cry. I love you and remember its less than six months and then I'll see you. Besides, dad's going to take care of me..."
Speaking of my father was a fatal topic. I'm surprised I got over it,but i never got over about him marrying a totally different woman and having kids with her.
My mom's strokes got lighter and soon enough a young Asian lady came to our direction and told me that my flight was ready. "I'm Kaoru and I'll be taking care of you durkng the flight. Come on,lets go."
"Bye mama. Remember I still and always will love you. Don't give up."
