"Not really... I would say we all head out and leave her alone" clare told them
"I think the last thing Allie needs to be is alone Clare" Dan refused to go out
"Dan she's my best friend.. I think I know her best... I say we all go out"
"Fine" I raised my hands in the air
"Good right good lets go.."
We were all sitting at a bar, it couldn't be anymore awkward. It was obvious everyone felt the same..
"I'm sorry guys.. Allie shouldn't be on her own I'm going back" I grabbed my wallet
"Dan no she needs space.. you haven't got a clue" Claire pointed at him
"Clare clearly something is up... I'm going back" pulling in his leather jacket
"Don't Dan" Claire asked
"I am.." As soon as Dan got outside He ran back to the lodge.. she clearly was in her room as she was no where to be seen! He got his lap top and while it was loading up.
KNOCK KNOCK
"Allie... have a drink for you" I pushed her door open slightly and cautiously to see her curled up on the bed, she was awake and her face was make up stained
"Here thought you might want a drink"
"Thanks" she didn't move at all, I couldn't not just leave. bending down to her level I offered
"If you need to talk.. just say" she just nodded and He went outside...
Walking to the decking Dan knew he had to make that call!
"Hey bruv, alright? Yeah good good... yeah course I'm coming just booking my tickets.. I'm busy man.... I will get tickets...... I might not be..... Lisa is she? Well I dunno but I might not be... no no one but I just might not be.. no no secrets...hahaha alright bruv bye bye"
It got to 8pm & still no one had come back yet. her light flicked on before she came out pulling on a big jumper.
"Alright" I smiled
"Umm go for a walk?" I sure if she was asking
"Sure.. want me to come?"
"Please" her body was tense
Their footsteps filled the air, all could smell was food cooking and hear music playing from the other lodges.
"Thanks for the drink" she spoke softly
"That's okay. are you okay?"
"Not really.."
Unsure what to say they kept walking in silence.
"Want to talk about it?" Offering
".... Had some bad news earlier"
"Unexpected?"
"I knew my results were due soon"
"Okay... results?" Pushing his finger through his dark thick hAir
"Yeah... umm it's official I cant.... sorry"
"Don't cry" tears streamed to her eyes
"Umm.. sorry... I.... I can't have children... umm it's official now"
"Oh.." Is all I could say, what else could I say.i want to say more, ask more even though I don't know Allie that well.
"He's right you know" she started to cry
"Who's right? About what?"
"Jamie.. my ex fiancée... He's right"
"About what?"
"I'll be old Alone and I can't give anyone the one thing they dream of... kids"
"Allie not everyone wants a family... there's other ways of having children"
"But they won't be mine"
"They would.. have you told your family?"
"Yeah they know... I can't believe it"
"Can you get second opinion?"
"I've had 3 tests"
"I'm sorry allie" she bursted into tears
"Don't cry.." I hesitated to hug her but Clare appeared and whisked her off while giving me a dirty look
"Alright mate"
"Yeah... Clare not happy with me?"
"Think she thinks your making a move"
