Dear diary,

Today's memorable sentence is, "Hu Tao is so short." ( seriously?? (c" ತ,_ತ) )

Me, Venti, Yae Miko, Xingqiu, Chongyun, and Ayato went out to the mall to hang out. This was the first time we've ever met in person because of the current state of the world right now.

What happened today was...

"It's only one hundred mora for an hour."

Wow, that seems like a good price... I thought to myself as I paid. "Which room?" I asked after paying. "Room 2," Venti replied. "The current people in there has yet to be finished, let's just go play arcade games while waiting." Keqing recommended. The rest of group nodded.

We had planned this meetup weeks before now. We ate in a pizza place called Yellow Mora and now we're currently in World of Geo, an arcade that surprisingly has a karaoke. The arcade wasn't full of people, it wasn't empty either. There were several arcade games to play, the claw machine (which is sort of a scam), some car simulation thing, and more.

We approached an Basketball Arcade game. Xingqiu, despite not looking like it, he is somewhat a professional in sports. Mostly because it was his father's request. He sometimes talks about how much he's been practicing. I think it's great.

I'm not really a sports person myself, I don't enjoy physical activities. Xingqiu may be someone cool, but I can almost never apprehend his handwriting! "Hey Chongyun, do you want some tokens?" Xingqiu asked as he showed him a palmful of tokens. Chongyun shook his head and continued looking around the arcade.

When I first saw Chongyun in person, I was kind of shocked to see him. I can't explain why. Perhaps it was because of his height? Chongyun didn't really talk much, for now. I just stood around too, I'm usually chaotic but I just feel shy at the moment.

I've never met these people in person, ever.

I looked at my surroundings, Xingqiu and Chongyun were watching Venti playing the car simulation arcade game thingamajig. I walked closer to observe them too. Venti was actually how I expected him to be but I was still surprised, to be frank. The thing that surprised me was how easy it was to approach him. In the arcade game, Venti kept crashing into things.

"Lesson learned, don't let Venti drive your car when you get one." Xingqiu whispered. Venti laughed at Xingqiu's comment. Xingqiu played on another game, which was also the same thing Venti was playing.

The only difference was that Xingqiu's moves, Venti's ride did not.

When Xingqiu started to play, he also did the same thing; crash into things by accident. "Look how the tables turn, huh?" Chongyun giggled. "Hey! It's not counted since mine moves and Venti's doesn't." Xingqiu protested.

The four of us just laughed it off. A few moments passed, Room 2 for the karaoke was available. However, Chongyun had to leave before we could even start to sing. "Okay, TaoTao. You promised to sing first." Venti said as he gave the mic to me. "Yes. I am ready." I huffed. I looked at the songbook. I didn't know what to sing at all. I don't know much songs and I doubt there would be songs from 2020. Then, I got a lightbulb moment.

Dancing Queen, by ABBA. A classic, if you asked me. I put the number code and the instrumental for Dancing Queen started. "Woo!" I spoke on the microphone.

I sang my soul out and poured my heart in it, though, I think I may have voice cracked a couple of times. In the end, I got 0 points. "I poured all my heart and soul in this, and I get 0?" I asked. The group just laughed. Things went on for like an hour. Once we finished, we went out of World of Geo and decided to go to a store. Then the others bought some snacks.

But of course, good things end. Just like how people pass.

Once night fell, I was in my sheets thinking about how fun it was today. Yae was taller than I expected, actually! Oh, I wish to be taller. Ayato was pretty cool too. I didn't really have the chance to talk to him a lot though.

At the end of the day, I conclude that I missed being able to see friends in person. The world has really changed in these few years. What I hope is that it all ends. If good things end, so will bad things, eventually. And that's what happened today.
