Jane walked up to Robin and took his hand in hers. Robin had walked out of the meeting room immediately after Emma had walked out. Jane had no idea where he was going, so she had walked after him. When she had walked to the bedrooms, she had seen Robin talking to Emma. She had walked over to them as politely as possible and had stood next to Robin. He had taken her hand and had moved closer to her. When Emma had gone to her room, Jane had turned to Robin and had asked what he was doing. He had said that he had told Emma that she could always go to Sam and Violette with her concerns. Jane had asked no questions about it and had walked back to the meeting room. Now she stood hand in hand with Robin at the kitchen island. Sky and Alexa were happily making dinner. "What are we eating today?" asked Robin to Sky. "Will see!" said someone from a drawer that was open. Two small creatures just popped their heads up above the drawer. "Alexaaaa?" asked the small female creature. "Scotty is sawing again!" "Let him saw, Alie," replied Alexa. Sky looked at his Pixie with an Angry block and tried to take an LED from the drawer that contained the two little Pixies. "How cute anyway," Robin said. "I think you two are going to be best friends one day..." "Just laugh, Robin. Just wait until Robbie comes complaining again. Then I'll have a good laugh!" said Sky. "How are you, Jane?" asked Alexa. "Has Jessie let you know anything yet?" "Yes," said Jane. "But she's currently working on something we're not supposed to know about. "Weird," said Robin, but he was interrupted by a small Elf coming to walk in front of him. "Sawing again yes?" said the little Robbie. Robbie was a Fire Elf. When he got angry fire literally shot out of his eyes. "No, Robbie," said Scotty. "We're not that much alike now, either, you know..." Robbie looked at him with a forced smile. "Thankfully not," he said to Scotty. "Enough boys," a voice said suddenly. Jane turned her head to the side and saw Jessie standing on her shoulder. "Hey, Jane," she said quickly and jumped off Jane's shoulder onto the kitchen island. "Hey," Jane replied. "Did everything go well with your plan?" "Yeah," Jessie said. "I hope it's going to work..." "Dinner's ready," Sky interrupted her. "Finally!" exclaimed Scotty. "What do we eat? What do we eat?" "Easy, easy," said Alexa as she set the pans on the table. "Everyone to the table!" Jane, Robin and Sky sat down at the table. "Where's Emma?" asked Robin. "Here." Emma entered the room and sat down on the chair next to Robin. Somehow the table had been enlarged to accommodate two extra chairs. Sam and Violette also came in and sat down in their regular seats: Sam next to Emma and Violette between Sky and Sam. "What's for dinner this afternoon?" asked Sam curiously. "Paella Sky's way," said Sky. "Who's hungry?" "Me!" shouted Scotty and Alie at the same time and held out their plates towards Sky. "Sorry guys, you'll have to wait," Sky said with a small grin on his face. Scotty and Alie pulled a dirty face and took back their little plates. Pixies are little irritating creatures, Jane thought, yet they look so much like humans. "Emma?" said Sky as he turned his head to Emma. "Guests first." Emma hesitated for a moment, but then held out her plate. Sky scooped up food for everyone and himself and sat back down. "Bon appetit," he said. "Bon appetit," the others said and began to eat. While everyone was eating, Jane looked at Emma for a moment. She didn't know how it came about, but something was going on with Emma. "Eum, I don't want to be rude," she began when everyone was almost done eating, "but I have a little question for you, Emma." Emma looked up from her plate with a puzzled expression. "Yes?" "Well, what actually happened at your house?" Jane looked at Emma curiously. She wanted to know what was going on. If something had happened to Nicolas, she wanted to find out right away. "I had a little argument with my brother," Emma said. Jane noticed that Emma was deliberately not looking at Sky, but didn't think any further of it. "Brother?" asked Robin. "Yes," continued Emma. "Jane's best friend, Nicolas. I don't remember exactly how it came about that we had another fight, but I couldn't stand it any longer. I was glad when Sa...Mr. Hale sent word that I could come here." "Is everything all right with Nicolas?" asked Jane. "Yes, with him there is nothing wrong," said Emma. She looked straight at Jane and continued, "He's still not right about you leaving." "Well you took care of that in part," Jane said bluntly, but then recovered, "Sorry, that's in the past. I'm glad everything is going well with him." "I'm really sorry Jane. I never should have been so blunt with you..." "Okay," Alexa interrupted Emma. "Enough family drama. What's on the agenda for today, Sam?" "I'm glad you asked, " replied Sam. "Today you will be getting your fixed and own weapon." "Wow!" almost exclaimed Sky. "Are we getting our own weapons!" "Yes," said Sam, "after dinner you will come out and you will get to pick out your own weapon." Alexa, Robin, Sky and even Jane looked at Sam with open mouths. "Now eat your plates first. Then you can warm yourselves up by the hot dishwater and come out." "Do we have to wash dishes again?!" asked Alexa reluctantly. "Life is hard, but it's life," said Sam and stood up. "Good luck. I'll go get the weapons ready." He winked at Violette for a moment and walked out of the room. "I'll go help him out," Violette said when she had finished her plate. "Hmmh, sure, " Robin said in hushed tones. "Did you say something Robin?" asked Violette in surprise. "No, no," said Robin quickly. Violette walked out of the room and closed the door behind her. Emma stood up and began to pace off. Sky wanted to get up too, but Alexa stopped him. "Let her be." He nodded to Alexa and sat back down. "What was that just now?" asked Alexa to Robin who was looking intently at his plate. "Nothing," he said. Jane stomped against his shoulder causing him to look up. "Haven't you guys noticed that Sam and Violette have become really close now?" asked Robin. "No, why?" said Sky. "Sky. Seriously kid?" said Alexa with a raised eyebrow. "I think it's about time we matched those two up..." said Robin with a grin on his face. Jane turned to him startled. "Robin Lewis, did you just say you wanted to pair two people up!" "Yes, why?" asked Robin and his grin widened. "You guys do that all the time, don't you?" "Eum, no!" said Alexa, but Jane and Robin were already not listening. Jane bent over to Robin and kissed him. Robin turned on his chair toward Jane and took her face in both his hands. Jane wrapped her arms around his neck and sat on his lap. "I think it's time to start washing the dishes," Alexa said. She got up and walked over to Emma who had already started washing the dishes. "Don't be silly, Alexa," said Jane who had detached herself from Robin. "I think Robin may be right." "Huh?" asked Alexa. "Well about the fact that Sam and Violette should be brought together...we're the right people for that, aren't we?" "Speak for yourself, Jane," said Alexa with a broad smile. "I think we could indeed bring them together easily," said Sky. "So do I," said Alexa, "but I also think we can do all that when we're done with the dishes here!" "All right, all right," said Jane. "We get it. We have to come and help..." "Right!" Jane got up and walked over to the kitchen island. She took a towel and began to dry off. "Still nice, isn't it, washing up?" said Scotty who was literally lying on the island. "Totally," said Alie and Robbie. While everyone was busy washing up, no one saw the door open and close behind them....
