After the dishes were done, the Four and Emma had gone outside. Sam was standing in front of a large cabinet full of weapons. Next to the cabinet were several boxes full of weapons. There were guns, knives, throwing knives, arrows and bows, crossbows and so much more. "Good thing you guys came so fast," Sam said with a smile on his face. "Haha," said Sky. "Good," Sam continued, "As you can see, there are several types of weapons for you to choose from. You guys are welcome to try everything out. You guys have all afternoon anyway. But I don't think you'll need that time. Good luck finding your perfect weapon. When you have chosen your weapon or arms, you may come to the meeting room and I will write down what your best weapon is." "Glad you're not here?" asked Sky looking at the weapons. "No, I have some things to do," Sam replied, "Have fun..." He winked at Jane and then walked back inside. Jane walked straight to the archway that went on the side of the closet. She opened the door of the cabinet and saw as many as fifteen different arrows. "Wow," she said softly so no one heard her. She took the bow and spun it around in her hands. She weighed the bow and tossed it from one hand to the other. "This thing is just amazing!" said Sky who was looking in the closet next to her. He had a dagger in his hand and was looking at the other daggers going into the cabinet. Jane started to laugh. "What?" asked Sky to her. "Just the fact that you choose daggers for weapon," Jane replied. "How did you know I was going to choose this one?" he asked. "A hunch. You're fast and agile. I thought you were going to go for the swords rather than these daggers. But now that I think about it, a dagger is more practical..." "How do you know so much about this?" "I used to be interested in weapons. I think that was also one of the reasons Sam asked me to join this team..." Before Jane could continue telling, she was interrupted by a short scream. Sky and Jane turned around in a flash with their weapons at the ready. But there was nothing to worry about. Alexa was sitting in front of a box she had just opened. "What's going on?" asked Robin as startled as Jane and Sky. "Look at this!" Alexa almost exclaimed. She pulled a gun out of the case and held it as if it were fragile. "You can move it, though," Jane said with a grin on her face. "It took quite a while to find Bucky..." "Bucky?!" asked Alexa. Before she had joined the team she had been a huge fan of Marvel. According to Jane, she still was. Alexa had once told her that she was going to marry Bucky one day. "My dream is coming true!" said Alexa smothered. "Be sure of that. Bucky is the name of that sniper rifle," Jane said. "It makes you shoot straight at the prey without question. With the sights on top, you can aim and shoot perfectly." "I'm thinking so lightly in my head that you weren't the only one with weapons before," said Sky looking at Jane with a raised eyebrow. "Maybe I knew we were going to pick out weapons today and I had to help you with that..." said Jane with a wink at Sky and Alexa. "With that..." said Sky. "Good to know," said Robin, "because I have no idea what to choose. And by the looks of it, you've already found your weapon." He pointed to the bow Jane was holding. Jane smiled at Robin and turned back around. She returned the bow and walked over to the boxes of weapons. "Okay, no help then," Robin said. "Wait a minute, Robin," said Jane. She looked at the boxes and took the bottom box. She opened the box and took out a crossbow. "This one is for you," Jane said. She walked over to Robin with the bow and handed it to him. "You read the letter from Sam, didn't you? Well in that letter it said that you were selected for your science in computers. Your job is to accompany us; Sky, Alexa, Emma and I, during the missions. As Violette had said to you before, you won't be on the floor very often, but will mostly be our 'Man in the chair'. In case you do have to come with us on a mission, it is better that you also have a weapon. Then you can defend yourself..." "Thank you, Jane," said Robin taking the bow and holding it on his shoulder. "Now that you three have a weapon, I have something for you too Emma," said Jane. "For me?" asked Emma startled. She had not listened to Jane's explanation and had continued to look for a weapon. "I used to see you beating with sticks many times in the garden at your house, that I now know the perfect weapon for you." Jane walked over to the closet, opened a drawer and took out a small box. She handed the box to Emma and told her she could open it herself. "Wow," Emma said as she opened the box. She took out two parts from the box. "If you put those two parts together you get a lance," Jane said. "If you use the two parts separately it's like two fighting sticks. I hope you like them." "Yeah sure!" said Emma and smiled at Jane. Jane turned to the rest and continued, " With these weapons we will train for the next few days, weeks and months until they become desirable parts of our bodies. Fortunately, I'm not going to train you myself, but Violette is going to. otherwise I'm not going to be able to control my bow either, lol." "I hope you're all happy with your weapons, but you'd better go inside," said a voice behind them. Violette had come out and was walking toward them. "It's already starting to get dark," she said. "Time moves fast," said Sky looking around him. Indeed, it was already dusk. They had been so busy picking and trying out the weapons that they had lost track of time. "It's November by now, hey Sky," Violette said. "Time literally flies by!" said Sky and walked inside. Alexa and Emma followed him and a moment later Violette went in as well. "Don't these things need to be cleaned up?" asked Jane as Violette stood in the doorway. She turned and said, "No, Sam will come and clean those up later. You guys have your guns with you, right?" "Yes," Jane replied. Violette walked further inside and disappeared from sight. Jane and Robin remained outside for a while. "Do you have a plan to get S and V together?" asked Jane. "S and V?" "Sam and Violette..." "Aah," said Robin. "No... You?" "I do have an idea, yes," said Jane. "But I'll tell you about that tonight. We'd better go in now. Otherwise Sam's going to get angry again..." Robin nodded and walked inside. Jane looked back at the closet and boxes for a moment and thought about how the training sessions were going to go with the new weapons. She turned and walked in behind Robin...
