The Prettiest Flower I've Ever Seen

The Bouquet

Jiang Cheng POV)
I walked down the road with Wei wuxian towards the bouquet we owned he was babbling about who knows what we got there I opened the door and stepped inside and turned on the light switch I went to fix up the counter while Wei wuxian went to color code the flowers and change the prices. At exactly 8:30 I went to the door and opened it and of course lan Wangji walked in and Wei wuxian ran up and hugged him they kissed and then walked towards the storage closet again I knew what was about to happen and did what I do every morning I got the keys of the storage closet and locked them inside I went to the management room and put on some music and finished organizing and having everything ready. At 9:40 I went to the storage closet and kicked the door and unlocked it 5 minutes later they got out kissed and lan Wangji left to work Wei wuxian started babbling about his lover till I saw a costumer walk in I quickly took this as my chance and ran away from Wei wuxian and his babbling and attended the customer when I finally checked the time again it was 7:30 we closed at 7:45 so I started cleaning up I finished at 7:43 and decided to close (Wei wuxian had left early for a date) as i was about to close I saw a man running towards me I decided to be nice today and didn't close the door like I normally would he stopped in front of me and asked if he could buy some flowers and I let him in he bowed and thanked me and walked inside and looked around. "Anything specific your looking for anniversary,birthday,or just a present?" "I'm looking for something for my boyfriend it's our 2nd anniversary." I knew just the thing and ran to the back shed it had been ages since I had someone need something for an anniversary i was genuinely excited about this I then started grabbing some roses lillies and all kinds of other flowers and wrapped them into a bouquet it looked better than all the bouquets I had ever done I happily walked back to the man and showed him the bouquet "Is this good?" I asked very happy but tried my best to hide it. He smiled and quickly nodded his head and asked how much he had to pay. "Don't worry about it it's on me!" I said and handed him the bouquet a normal customer would have thanked me and left but no this guy was different. "What do you mean I don't have to pay this bouquet is beautiful!?" He exclaimed and took out his wallet with one hand and grabbed a bunch of dollars and stuffed it into my hands and as if he read my mind he bolted out of the shop I ran after him and stopped when I realized he was serious. "Happy anniversary I wish you and your partner well!" I yelled at him as he ran away he stopped turned around and gave me a grateful and genuine smile and walked away I walked back inside the shop feeling extremely happy for the first time in weeks I smiled as I grabbed my coat I grabbed my keys locked the shop and drove home.

Lan Xichen POV)
I was extremely happy today was my 2nd anniversary with a-yao I couldn't help but feel happier today and smiled more than usual as I did my work today that is until I noticed my brother staring at me with a questioning look. "Is something wrong wangji ?" "Did something happen today you look extremely happy today brother." He stated "oh today is mine and a-yao's 2nd anniversary!" He just nodded and went back to work I finally got out of work at 6:45 I decided to get a gift for a-yao I remembered he really likes chocolate I went to a candy store it took me an hour to find just the right chocolate I decided to also get him flowers and looked around for any flower shops I then remembered the Jiang Boquet was really popular I drove as fast as I could and saw that a man was already closing I started running luckily he noticed me and opened the door "Hello could I please get flowers?" He nodded and let me in I bowed and thanked him and went to look around I guess he noticed that I was struggling and asked. " Anything specific your looking for anniversary,birthday,or just a present?" I told him for an anniversary his face immediately lit up and he ran towards the back I was taken aback by his reaction but let him be and meanwhile looked at more bouquets that was until he showed me the most beautiful bouquet I had ever seen "Is this good?" He asked me how could he ask such a thing it was just perfect I smiled and nodded my head and then he handed the bouquet to me and I asked how much I was surprised when he said it was in him I couldn't just not pay for such a beautiful masterpiece I refused and took out my wallet I didn't care how much the bundle was since all I had were 100's and 50's and handed it to him and just before he could decline I bolted out the door I then heard him yell, "Happy anniversary I wish you and your partner well!" I stopped and turned around and gave him my most thankful smile and walked away excited to get home and show this to my beautiful a-yao!

Once he got home....

I parked my car in the garage and grabbed my presents for a-yao and walked towards my door I unlocked the door and went in. "A-yao I'm home!" I called he didn't answer I found that strange I then turned on the light and walked to the kitchen and saw a-yao and nie mingjue kissing!? "A-a-yao!?" They both whipped their heads towards my direction "Z-Zewu-jun I can explain it's not what it looks like!?" He exclaimed I just stepped back as he approached me and looked at mingjue my best friend "w-why?" I asked him as I felt a tear fall down my face. He just looked away and a-yao tried to approach me but I just ran away I wanted to be left alone "Zewu-jun wait!?" I heard a-yao scream as I ran out I ignored him and threw the bouquet and the chocolates in the car and drove away ignoring a-yao's pleads I drove as far as I could with tears spilling down my face from that house and ended up at the same flower shop where I got the beautiful bouquet I looked over at it and saw that it was still in perfect condition even though I threw it I decided to return it to it's owner I grabbed a pen  and paper and wrote a note and stuck it out of the bouquet I got out of the car and placed it on the front step and walked back to my car and drove away. Thanking the man for the beautiful bouquet in my head and hoping to see him again.
