Chapter 1

"Shit" Louis said, he had forgot that he had a test in social studies it was a Monday and who the hell has tests on Monday. Zayn had just told him about the test as they were approaching their school zayn was a little hungover he was always hungover but never forgot a test. "Fuck I'm just going to leave" Louis said "Lou you've already missed 12 days this semester and it started 4 weeks ago" zayn said "I can miss just one more no one even cares, how do you know that anyway?" Louis asked "your my best mate and I actually care about you" "fine but I'm still leaving" zayn just gave Louis a look then said "ok" (he knew Louis was going through shone shit and he needed some time his mom and sister had died in a car crash, he didn't really have a father he was practically living on his own except his sister who was never really home) he watched Louis walk out of school looking like he was just as hungover as himself he really felt like he should go after him but he did have the energy

Louis walked to a coffee shop which was right near his school he was greeted by a younger man with green eyes greener than Louis had ever seen. "Hi welcome to sunny coffee" said the younger man. What a dumb name Louis thought he must have been thinking for far to long because the younger man said "hello sir can I help you?" And Louis got startled "oh uhm yea can I just get a black coffee please" "we don't sell coffee" the young man joked Louis gave a snotty look and the young man must have seen it it was awfully scary "sorry I'm Harry most of the costumer's laugh when I say that but I guess your not in the laughing mood" " no I am certainly not that wasn't even funny, Harry what a basic name shouldn't you be in school" "first it was definitely funny second I wouldn't be surprised if your name was chad third I should ask you the same question" Louis gave a blank stare at Harry "can I just have my coffee" "yea I guess, that will be $4" Louis reached in his pocket only to realize he didn't have any money "shit shit shit" he said quietly but not quiet enough because Harry said "wow you don't even have money, I guess I could spot you but I will need something first" Louis really didn't want to do something for this brat but he really needed the coffee he hadn't got sleep in days "fine what do you need me to do" "uhh" Harry took a pause not even thinking Louis would have took his offer "um uh a kiss" "WHAT" Louis was so surprised "that's very straight forward I'm not even gay" "you should tell that to your skinny jeans" Louis was about to leave after that comment but Harry had just said "I'm only joking..well not about the jeans part but about the kiss I'll make you a coffee and for free you look like you need it but next time you need to pay" Louis looked up at Harry right in his green eyes (he might have been wrong in calling him a brat even if it was just in his mind) "thank you" that's all the could get out other than what he said a few seconds after "Louis" "what?" Harry said "Louis my name is Louis not chad" Harry had a little laugh "Louis I like Louis"

Louis was sat at his seat it was a table right near a window he needed a little sun it did take Harry a while to make the coffee but Louis didn't mind it was a free coffee it was surprising it was about 10 o'clock in the morning and no one was in the coffee shop it was only him and Harry. Louis grabbed his phone out of his pocket to see a a text from zayn:

*hey just checking up on you are you ok?* -z

*yea I'm good at a coffee shop about to go home*-L

Louis was about to type another message to zayn when Harry comes back with a coffee in a paper cup "here you go a coffee as dark as you soul" "hey" Louis snapped Louis and Harry both chuckled "thank you..really" " yep no problem now get out as you can see we are very busy" Louis didn't think much of it and just left taking a sip of his coffee when he walked out the door it wasn't a black coffee it tasted like it had more milk than coffee but it was free and that was good enough for him

Louis was almost finished his coffee when he reached his house and was about to throw it in the garbage can outside but had noticed that it had a number on it it must've been Harry's Louis was kinda interested so he kept it.

When he got inside of the quiet house he couldn't get Harry out of his head he kept on looking at Harry's phone number it keeps showing up in his mind again and again

he went upstairs to his room sitting on his bed he had nothing to do only an hour had past it wasn't even lunch time it wasn't good for him to stay home alone he knew it without his mom he felt like there was nothing to believe in. It was always so quiet he did sometimes wish his sister Lottie would come home he never really knew what she was doing "fuck it" he said to himself out loud he got the cup and put the number in his phone without even thinking about it he texted

*hey it's chad*

No response why would Harry respond he was working none the less Louis kept on looking at his phone just in case but soon he feel asleep he was so tired he needed the sleep

What felt like minutes later Louis finally woke up he quickly checked his phone it was 1:32 and found a text message from Harry it was from 30 minutes ago

*hey Chad finally got some sleep?"

Louis looked a bit confused how did he know that Louis thought and soon texted it

*how did you know that?*

*well.. I may or may not have put some of my sleeping pills in it I could tell you hadn't gotten a lot of sleep so I put some in your cup*

What the actual fuck Louis said out loud but took a minute to stop and think he did need the sleep and he guessed Harry had good intentions.

Harry had seen that Louis read it

*fuck I probably shouldn't have don't that I promise I'm not a creep*

Louis finally texted back still a bit in shock

*yea..that was kinda weird but I guess you had good intentions*

Right after he sent that he heard the front door open someone stomping upstairs he could also hear a bit of crying then a door slam next to him it was Lottie he didn't know if he should see if she was alright or not they hadn't even seen each other sense their mom died about 8 months ago he got up and started to knock on the door he didn't get a response so he went in he saw Lottie his only alive sister on the floor crying she she was pregnant he rushed over to her holding her back "get away don't look at me"she said "Lottie what the fuck we need to get you to a hospital" Lottie didn't say anything so he just picked her up it took him awhile he wasn't very fit but Lottie finally took a stand and started walking Lottie had a car so they got in Lottie was in the backseat sprawled out Louis was in the front as he left the driveway he started speeding down the street Louis had no clue what to tell Lottie so he didn't say a word the whole time

At the hospital Louis rushed Lottie in and the nurse put her in a wheelchair they asked if Louis was the father he was quick to say no they didn't let him back with Lottie because of it which he didn't fight but he was still upset he waited for a few hours with only a snack from the vending machine until a nurse said that his sister had given birth and he could come in and see it "it" was a boy

Louis took a look at the baby and then at Lottie

"Hey Lottie how ya doing?"

"Tired" she said with a short laugh

"Louis we can't afford this you know it this hospital bill is going to be outrageous I'm going to see when I can leave so I can leave as soon as possible so we don't waste anymore money that we don't have."

"Lottie I will take care of it ok? But you need to tell me who who is the father?"

Lottie took a minute "jake you don't know him we just met when mom uhm.. he was a one time thing but I told him I was pregnant and he didn't do anything he said no it wasn't his and he won't pay anything for it and now here we are"

Louis shook his head he knew Lottie was tired and he shouldn't fight or get her stressed

"Ok Lottie stay one more day and I'll pay for it you need to get some rest I'll leave"

"Louis thank you truly thank you I mean we never even talk and here you are being so kind I love you"

"I love ya too now get some sleep"

Louis had left stressed and tired it was around 2 in the morning "what a day" he hadn't even thought to check his phone but thought of Harry he took Lotties car to the coffee shop it was still open to his surprise
So he walked in to see Harry's big smile "miss me already?"
