Of Magic, Tamers And Beasts Of Power

Start of a new story pt 2

Yukiko decided to take Gardevoir, Charizard, Empoleon, Gliscor, and Golbat.  She got her roller blades on as Pachi got ready on her shoulder. She was wearing the basic boy's NRC uniform that the resident ghosts somehow found. The vest was white with black buttons and lining which may have been the dorm's primary colors.

"Want a ride, Grim?"

"Eh? OK." Grim said as he got on Yukiko's head and the white haired girl took off.

Pachi liked the breeze through her fur while Grim was having a great time flying blind as Yukiko built speed.

They found themselves at Main Street where Yukiko gazed at the statues of the imposing figures, were they important people to this campus.

"Whoa, this one looks like a stern auntie. Wonder who she was?" Grim wondered.

"You don't know who the Queen of Hearts was?" A new voice popped up.

The trio turned to see a ginger haired boy with a heart motif near his left eye.

"Honestly, I don't know who she is either being from another dimension and all." Yukiko shrugged.

"Oh yeah, you're the girl from another dimension right? Well, I'm Ace Trappola. Heartslabyul first year." Ace introduced himself before telling the trio about the figures, or the Great Seven as they are described.

While Grim was amazed, Yukiko was skeptical.

The Queen of Hearts sounded too much like a tyrant if she'd execute people for even a small mistake that could be overlooked.

The King of Beasts basically usurped his brother just for the throne, and from the look of the skull on his statue, he probably led it to ruin.

The Sea Witch reminded her of some pokemon salesmen that tricked people with false promises only for them to be duped out of their money and having useless stuff.

The Sorcerer of the Sand may sound clever but he took the kingdom from the sultan and from the sound of it, he may have had to deal with an incompetent ruler while plotting his Conquest for a long time.

Yukiko certainly did not like the description of the Beautiful Queen and her use of poisons. That was a red flag she was not afraid to get her own hands dirty to accomplish her goals, even if it meant killing.

The only ones Yukiko had some respect for was The King of the Underworld who handled a job of tirelessly looking over the Land of the Dead, which no one else wanted, but had to be done, and the Witch of Thorns who excelled on many forms of magic and could even turn into a dragon.

Before Ace could even insult Grim, Yukiko noticed they would be late for orientation.

"We better get going Grim, bye Ace. Hope to see you." Yukiko said grabbing Grim and heading to the front doors.

Yukiko was standing, her skates now shoes, holding Grim in her arms and Pachi on her head.

She ignored the other students around her as she payed attention to the guide's speech about the school and the classes they would have. To keep Grim docile, Yukiko would keep her hand on his head between his ears and scratch them as he'd sigh in content.

When the tour was over, the rest of the day was a free period and Yukiko was under the shade of a tree reading over some notes ahead of time.

"Whew, I never thought school would be so tough." Grim said

"Its actually not that hard if you compare it to pokemon matches.. Being a Pokemon trainer was a whole lot easier." Yukiko said.

" What do you mean by that?" Grim asked as he lazed around.

"Well, back home we only did schooling from age 3 to 9, and once we were ten, a lot of kids have the option to become Pokemon trainers and Adventure often to places without their parents. The Pokemon always protect them. If they want, they can also Branch out to become Pokemon breeders, Pokemon professors, or even learn to treat injured pokemon. Options are endless, but that does require studying. My dad studied pokeanthropology and archeology while my mom was a Pokemon ranger."

"Lucky for you then, are they still working?" Grim asked.

"Actually, when I was six, they left for an expedition to some Ancient Ruins, but they disappeared. And they are still missing." Yukiko said sadly as Pachi nudged her hand for a pet to comfort her.

"Well, if you think they are alright, they are alright. Besides I don't think they would like seeing you moping of them being missing." Grim said surprising Yukiko making her smile.

"I suppose you're right." she looked over at her poketech and decided to head for the cafeteria.

"Least I brought some Spicy Tropical Curry that I made at home." Yukiko said taking the tins out and they Sar down at a table.

Grim took a bite and smiled. "Ooh! Not only is it a nice balance of sweet and spicy, it gives the memories of a warm tropical life I never even lived!"

"Pachpapa!

As Yukiko, Pachi, and Grim ate their curry, they did not notice two Heartslabyul students close by were getting into an argument.

.....

Causing a chandelier to fall.......

Right above them!

At that, Gardevoir appeared out of her Pokeball and stopped the chandelier with Psychic.

Cliffhanger!

I plan to have at least two dorm leaders and three vice dorm leaders to interact with Yukiko to see if she's okay.

But not Malleus or Riddle because it would mess up the story line.
