Don't make me go through this again.. please. I hate it. I hate it so fucking much. This is painful even for me..

Alex isn't dead yet! A big surprise, right? If anything he's been doing better-- physically that is. In this short amount of time he's just been sharpening his skills and regretting his life decisions. A lot. He's gotten bigger, a whopping 6 feet tall now! And he's grown in mass too. He's fairly built, and gotten scary. He ditched the look of a beanie after a tree snagged it and tore it in half, and just went with his look of a sweater and jeans. He didn't like showing skin, after all. Some may ask why he still hates it despite not having been hurt constantly, but that's because of insecurities. But that's besides our main focus here. Alex was now free of his parents. They can't hurt him anymore. At least that's what Alex told himself constantly. It was his way of coping, just to face the facts as of right now and not dwell on the past. This never worked of course, but he still did it for some reason. Besides that-- today was a remarkable day. At least I think it was. The day started out a bit cold, so Alex had wrapped himself up in a few layers to keep warm. He wandered into a nearby town. The urge to kill still lingered in his mind, left over from the incident with his parents. He missed the people of the casino, but knew it was for the best if he just never showed his face there again.
After a bit of wandering, the boy had stumbled into the bad part of town. Why do I still call him a boy if he's 16 now you may ask? Well the answer is simple, he's still a boy. Duh. He walked on the cracked and plant ridden sidewalks of the South side of town, staring straight ahead. His face was completely a cross by now, his human features no longer even visible. He walked steadily onwards. He passed a few people until a group of maybe 3 or 4 guys, all smaller than him, approached the boy. They pushed him away and spat some sort of insult. He huffed in annoyance, not actually making a sound. Then he heard a scream behind him. He whipped around to see the four guys he had passed were about to mug some poor lady. She was petite and looked so frail and helpless-- half of Alex wanted to watch her get mutilated while the other half wanted to help her. Well, if you help her you can mutilate four people instead of watching just one get murdered.. so hey, why not?
He walked rather quickly towards the group, with a stern voice he got their attention. "What the fuck are you doing?" He said aloud. His voice boomed with what sounded like aggression. He just wanted a fight. The biggest person in the group turned around and stared at Alex first, the others turning around as well. They seemed to cower beneath his shadow. "Fuck off kid, this ain't your business!" The biggest guy said with a shove. Thankfully for Alex he was too heavy to be moved. He didn't even lean at all at the shove. And with that he punched the man straight in the cross, knocking him into another one. All four of them decided to gang up against Alex instead of running away, which was a big mistake. He cane armed with a gun while they had knives. The girl had hid behind a building, but watched the fight go down. With a few loud cracks of the revolver Alex carried on his hip, the men were dead in an instant. The men laid on the ground, their lifeless bodies spread out. Alex spun the revolver to boost his own ego a bit, just wanting to look good. He put it back in the holster and turned to the girl in the alley. Upon closer inspection he noticed she had slightly dark gray hair, wavy and short. She wore a maroon hoodie with sneakers to match, and dark charcoal gray jeans.
"You alright, lady?" He asked. She nodded with a bright smile growing on her face. "You saved me! Thank you so much!" She said. Her voice was so friendly and grateful, yet also so shy at the same time. Her small figure looking up at Alex with such wonder and amazement in her face was actually sort of adorable. He scratched the back of his neck. "It's nothin'. Just wanna protect those who need it." He said. That's a lie. He killed people that were easy targets. It's a wonder he didn't kill her too. "What's your name, sir?" She said. Her voice was soft and silky, gentle and loving in a way. She seemed like she could give someone love and affection until they drop whether it be in a motherly or romantic fashion. "Alex." He answered. "You?" He added onto his answer with the question. Something in his mind convinced him to know who this lady was. She felt different for him. Different than his past friends and anyone else he's seen before. "Sarah! Alex is a very handsome name by the way-!" She said. She clearly wanted to seem like she was being smooth with her statement but she just ended up being kind of a dork about things. Whatever. "Thanks. Yours is pretty too." Alex said. He wasn't used to compliments, so he looked away bashfully at her comment on his name. He wished he had a different one, but it is what it is.
She took a step towards him so she could hear him better, but also so he could hear her better. They both had rather quiet and shy voices, how odd the coincidence is. "Again-- thank you so much for saving me! I don't know what I would've done without you!" She said. "Yeah yeah, it's no big deal-" "No big deal? Alex I don't think you understand that you saved my life. Where are you headed to?" She asked with excitement and joy. She smiled up at the boy as she spoke. She seemed to glow with how much bliss was in her face, everything about her was just so.. sweet. Like a gentle kiss and an Autumn breeze. As Alex stared down at her, trying to search for an answer, she spoke again. "Wherever you're going-- can I come with you? I'd like to get to know you better!" She said. The enthusiasm in her tone was so genuine it made the very air they were breathing happy. That happy intermingled with the metallic smell of blood.
"I'm not going anywhere important. Just wandering for now." He said. She nodded. "Well if you don't have anywhere you're going, wanna come to my place and hang out instead?" She asked. He was pretty skeptical, I mean he did just meet this lady. But hey, if worse comes to worse he can get out. "I don't see why not. How old are you by the way?" He asked. "I'm 16! What about you?" She asked. "Oh-- I'm also 16." Alex had answered. "No way, you look at least 21!" She said with playful disbelief. He chuckled. "No, I'm 16. Really." He assured the lady. She continued to say things in pure disbelief, but eventually just accepted it. She walked Alex all the way to her house. Surprisingly she lived with just one other person, that being a roommate. On their way there she explained how the roommate was. Basically just someone who was well on their way out by then. Perfect. Then it'll just be him and Sarah soon, which he would prefer. He liked this lady so far. She seemed like a source of safety for him. She looked so gentle and caring, sounded so sweet. She probably is gentle and caring, she could be the polar opposite to this boy that would finally be able to soothe him. She seems like the perfect friend.
Seems.
