"Hi! Good morning!"

The girl greeted Law as if it were the most casual thing to say.

"It's four in the afternoon, missy." said Law in an emotionless manner.

The girl pouted and rubbed her hands on her stomach.

"Ah! No wonder I'm feeling hungry. I should ask Sanji to make me some food."

Law has no idea who this Sanji is and he can't believe that she's more worried about being hungry than worrying about sleeping on a complete stranger's shoulder.

Law watches her as she gets up and pats her butt to remove the grass that sticks to her shorts.

The girl is wearing a close, long-sleeved red cardigan with four buttons and a yellow sash tied around her waist. She's also wearing a short blue jeans with white fur at the ends.

He can't help but notice her short, dark raven hair, which he hadn't noticed earlier because of the Strawhat she's wearing. It's unusual to see a girl with the oddest fashion sense. Mostly, other girls on her age would be conscious about how they look, but this girl here is quite... different.

Law wonders how the girl found the place. As far as he remembers, nobody knows about this spot in the forest. However, it's been 8 years after all. But a girl shouldn't be wandering in a forest like this. She could've been eaten by the wild animals.

He was about to ask about how she ended up sleeping on his shoulder but ended up asking a different question.

"How did you find this place?"

The girl once again focuses her gaze on him. Then knit her brows like she's thinking so hard about something for a minute or two before finally answering.

"Hmm.. I was playing tag with Chopper earlier and ended up here. I've never been in this part of the forest and I can't find Chopper anymore, then I saw you sleeping here. I was waking you up to ask for directions, but you're not waking up, so I just sleep as well! Do you always sleep here?"

She blabber nonstop. Law could only stare and frowned.

People like her.. is the kind of people he doesn't really like.

"...At first I thought you were weird for sleeping here like Zoro, but after I had a nice nap, I think this place is good for resting!"

Law couldn't even understand what the girl was saying because she was talking fast. She's even making gestures while talking.

Yes.. he doesn't like noisy people but surprisingly, watching her blabber like this amuses him

"Aren't you afraid of me? What if I'm a bad person?" Law asked.

"Ne. Are you a bad person?" the girl innocently asked.

He chuckled. This girl is clueless.

He stood up and towered over the girl. Just as he thought, she's small in front of him. The girl barely reaches his shoulders. If someone would see them, they probably look like a wild animal ready to devour its prey.

He stepped a little closer to the girl and whispered in her ears.

"What if I am? Chibi-ya?" Law teases the girl.

The girl's eyes grew wide, probably surprised but he's sure that's not the reaction he's expecting.

"Gomu gomu no pistol!"

Law almost lost his balance when the girl suddenly punched him in the face. He almost reached for his lips if he got a little damage. The punch didn't hurt much, but it's not bad for a small girl like her.

"I knew it! You're not a bad person because I like you!" the girl shouted, happily pointing at him.

All his life, people were afraid of him because of how he looked. Aside from his intimidating appearance, he almost looked like a serial killer because he's got a lot of tattoos on his whole body. Although those are being covered by his clothes, there are some of his tattoos that couldn't be covered, like his tattoos on his knuckles with the letters 'DEATH' that makes him look more unapproachable and scary. His friends Sachi, Penguin, and Bepo once told him he didn't look like a doctor because doctors were supposed to look friendly.

That's why Law couldn't understand how he felt. Suddenly, being told by such words. He knew that the girl meant the other way around. Because he can tell that the girl looks innocent, childish and very easy to read.

"I am a bad person." Law said before sitting down again. He felt the girl sit beside him.

"You're not. I can feel it." He looks at the girl's face and there it is again. Her sunshine smile.

"Tsk. Chibi-ya." He muttered again.

"Oi, who were you calling chibi? My name is Monkey D Luffy. You should call me Luffy!" the girl explained loudly.

Monkey. Law is familiar with the last name, but he can't recall where he heard it before.

Luffy extended her hands and Law finds it funny because of how formal she introduced herself, despite what happened in their earlier encounter.

He chuckled.

He accepted her hands and felt the soft hands he was holding. He couldn't believe this was the hand that punched him earlier.

"Trafalgar Law." Law's short introduction. He usually doesn't give his last name because when people know what his last name is, they tend to ask him about his family and his father, it is because his father is well known in the business world. That is why, as much as possible, he doesn't want to be linked to his father's name.

"Yosh! Tra- Tral- Torao! From now on, we're friends!" Luffy happily declared.

He couldn't believe it. No one has ever mispronounced his name. This girl sure is unbelievable.

"It's Trafalgar." Law corrected her.

"Torao." Luffy says casually.

"Tra. fal. gar." Law said slowly.

Luffy pouted and leaned on the tree.

"Torao, isn't it the same? I think I am pronouncing it right. Torao's weird."

This is stressing him out. And he's the one being called weird. Unbelievable.

"Just call me Law."

Luffy shook her head.

"Nope. I want Torao. Your name is funny. I like it!" Luffy then burst into laughter.

Law's clueless about what the girl is laughing about. First off, she mispronounced his name. Second, she thinks his name is funny. No one has ever said such a thing to him before. If it had been another person, he could have felt offended. One thing is for sure. He seems fine about it.

"Unbelievable chibi." Law whispered.

"Hey! I said it's Luffy! not Chibi!" Luffy protested.

He just lets her be, he's not used to calling other people by their first name and besides they're not that close to be calling each other on first name basis and he doesn't have any plan of getting close with a loud girl like her, they wouldn't probably meet each other after this.

"Wow! It's beautiful!" Luffy exclaimed beside him. She's looking at the sunset. Amazed at what she's seeing.

"I decided. We will be friends." Luffy looks at him smiling.

"I refuse." Law said. Totally aware that the girl isn't suggesting but declaring.

"I refuse your refusal." for some reason, Law is somehow prepared for this kind of answer.

Law looks at the orange scenery and the sun setting. It's beautiful. He had never seen such beautiful scenery in a while. And he never thought he would enjoy this beautiful moment with a weird girl he had just met.
