It was June 22nd, 2002.
Miriam prepares her big green backpack and her blue traveling luggage. She double-check her belongings. Hygiene. Clothes. Swimwear. Towels. And etc. Her dad calls on his daughter.
"Miriam! Your ride to Camp Aphrodite is here!" He exclaimed.
She grabs her big green backpack and blue traveling luggage.
Mr. and Mrs. Wexler detects their daughter.
Her mom goes to her daughter. "Here, Miriam. I'll take your backpack to the van, sweetheart." Mrs. Wexler insisted.
She let her mother help her daughter out.
Her dad walks forth. "Just get in the van. I got your luggage." Mr. Wexler mentioned.
Miriam smiles at them.
Her mom and dad packed her daughter's stuffs. They placed them in the back of the sunshine van.
Mr. and Mrs. Wexler sees her coming to them.
Miriam extended her arms and hurries to her parents. Her mom and dad embraced her daughter.
She embraces them back. "Love you, mom. Love you, dad." Miriam said.
"We loved you, Mir." They said in unison.
Her mom was emotional. "Write to us every day." She said.
Her dad was proud. "Let me know how's Camp Aphrodite, Mir." He said.
Miriam sighed delightfully. "I will." She declared.

The sunshine van picks up three more girls.
It picked up Mei, Priya and Abby.
The driver was a friendly woman. She faced the four girls. "Morning, newbies. I'm Betty." She added. Betty wore her 4-Town cap and T-shirt. Her pants are denim. "Are you all ready for your first summer camp?" She wondered.
Miriam was excited. "We are, girl." She replied.
Mei was surprised. Then, she was enthusiastic. "You're a 4-Townie?" Mei asks.
Betty was certain. "Yeah." She added, answering. "I was at the SkyDome for the 4-Town concert almost a month ago." Betty mentioned.
Miriam gestures Betty for her three friends. "Mei, Priya and Abby are 4-Townies too." She told her.
Betty was mind-blown. "Oh my gosh! That is awesome!" She exclaimed.
Mei, Miriam, Priya and Abby screams thrillingly at her.
Then, they laughed at each other.
Mei calms down. "Hey, Betty." She added. Mei was catching her breath. "How long is our summer camp gonna be taking by the way?" She asked.
Betty settles down. She turned on her sunshine van. Betty was happy. "Oh, it's only couple hours." She added replying. Betty gestured them to the red object. "Okay, in that cooler, they are beverages. There's also snacks in case you get hungry on the way." She mentions.
They are cheerful for her heads up. Abby opens the red cooler. She was delighted. "Oh, that looks good! Thank you, Betty!" She exclaimed.
Mei, Miriam and Priya are enthusiastic. "Thank you, Betty!" They exclaimed in unison.
The four girls snatches their favorite beverages and snacks.
The driver grinned at them. "Happy to help, gals!" She exclaims.
