It was June 23rd, 2002.

Mei, Miriam, Priya and Abby wore the Camp Apollo uniform. They all have looked like Miss Coralinski's clothes.

And they don't like it already.

Miriam was awful for her friends. "Horrible, isn't it?" She wondered.

Mei, Priya and Abby agreed with her. They nodded their heads at her twice.

Miriam raises her eyebrow at other people. She doesn't anticipate to see their old classmates again. "Stacy? Tyler?" Miriam inquired.

He concealed his face. Tyler was embarrassed.

Stacy got her eyes widened. She gasped. "O.M.G." Stacy said. She was bewildered.

He was confused. Tyler encountered them. "I thought you guys are in Camp Aphrodite." He said.

Stacy glances at Tyler. "I guess their summer plan has changed. It's not my imagination." She believed.

Abby shook her head. She was frustrated. "I didn't strategize to go here." Abby protested.

Miriam frowns at Stacy. "Yeah, someone sets us up." Miriam declared.

Abby extended her arms. "Literally, not my mom." She argues.

Priya was mad. "We don't want trouble, dude." She said.

Mei took a deep breath. She was bewildered. "How come you're here, Stacy?" Mei asks.

Stacy glanced at Mei. She shrugs. Stacy was annoyed. "Well my mom dropped me off here today. She's spending her month at the spa. I wanted a spa myself too." She answered.

Mei rolled her eyes. "Don't we all." She commented.

He was waving frantically in alert. Tyler was afraid. "Miss C's coming! Miss C's coming!" He exclaimed.

The five girls are stunned.

Miriam gestured the group. She was knowledgeable. "Guys, line up and face forward! Come on, come on!" Miriam exclaimed.

The six kids got scrambled at first. Then, one by one, each teenager builds up a horizontal line.

Miriam was next to Mei. Mei was next to Priya. Priya was next to Tyler. Tyler was next to Stacy. Stacy was next to Abby.

Miss Coralinski walks forth to the kids. She was impressed. "Getting prepared to make your day. I liked that." Miss Coralinski said. She heads to Abby. Miss Coralinski begins pacing forward slowly. She was friendly yet creepy by her talking.

"Welcome to Camp Apollo, troopers. I am Miss Coralinski or Miss C. I am only saying this because we have new recruits here today." She said.

They all eyed on Miss Coralinski. They are nervous.

Miriam gulps.

Miss Coralinski encounters Miriam. "You, Star Trooper! Tell the world who you are in Camp Apollo, if you please!" Miss Coralinski instructed her.

Miriam was fierce. She steps forward. "My name is Miriam Wexler, mam! I have been to this camp for seven years, mam! I am sure I could be some assistance to help my friends from school about it, mam!" She shouted.

Miss Coralinski was glad. "Welcome back again, Miriam! And what spirit you have shown this morning! I'll pair you with a partner after the introduction then! Happy eighth anniversary of your participation, girl!" Miss Coralinski exclaims. She moves on to the next girl.

Miriam perturbed and groaned.

Miss Coralinski tilted her head. "Who might you be, new recruit?" She wondered.

Mei stepped forth. She was brave. "I'm Meilin Lee, mam! I lived and worked as the tour assistant in the Lee Family Temple, mam! That's in Chinatown somewhere at Toronto, Canada, mam!" Mei cried out loud.

Miss Coralinski was mystified. "The tour assistant? The Lee Family Temple? Are you familiar with Ming Lee?" She inquired.

Mei took a deeper breath. "Ming Lee is my mom, mam! She's owns the Lee Family Temple, mam! And it's our home too, mam!" Mei cries louder.

Miss Coralinski nodded her head thrice times. She was thrilled. "How cool is that. Ming Lee's daughter in Camp Apollo. She will be proud of you after your month worth here." Miss Coralinski said.

How does Miss Coralinski knew about Ming Lee? That is a mystery here.

Miss Coralinski goes kid to kid for their salutations to her.

"The name's Priya Mangal, mam! I loved to read books in my own time, mam! My mom and dad are animal people, mam! Maybe I could be like my mom, mam! A veterinarian, mam!" She hollered.

"Tyler Nguyen-Baker, mam! I loved sports, mam! I wanna be an superstar athlete someday, mam!" He yelled.

"I am Stacy Frick, mam! I just liked to look cute, mam! Yes, I loved cute things, mam! That's why I have butterfly clips on my head, mam!" She exclaimed.

"My name's Abby Park, mam! My mom's a hairdresser and my dad's a businessman, mam! I can be loud at times, mam! Especially when I'm overexcited or outraged, mam! I speak Korean when I get mad, mam! You don't want to ask me why I'm mad, mam! Because I will bite people's heads off, mam!" She screamed the loudest.

Miss Coralinski almost lost her hearing from Abby's screaming. She sighed. Miss Coralinski goes over her clipboard. She surveys the six kids. "All right, troopers. I'm going to pair you for today's summer activity. Rope knotting." Miss Coralinski added. Abby detects her clipboard. She was surprised at first. Then, Abby gradually morphs her mouth into a cunning smile. She had her hands scrambling together. Abby brought her witty scheme into her mind. Miss Coralinski faces Abby and Stacy. "Abby Park, you're with Stacy Frick. That is it for today's Camp Apollo day." Miss Coralinski declared and left.

Abby and Stacy stared at each other blankly.

Miss Coralinski was going to her office tent.

Mei was partnered with Miriam.

Priya was partners with Tyler.

Abby looks at Miss Coralinski. Then, she glimpses at Stacy.

Abby and Stacy are encountering each other.

Stacy shrugs. "I got the other rope while you're distracted." She added. Stacy handed one to Abby. "Here." Stacy said.

Abby took it. She was puzzled. "Thanks." Abby said. They have themselves a long sturdy rope.

Stacy smiled. She was a sweet girl. "Not a prob." Stacy said.

Abby smiles back at Stacy. She has something in her thought.

Abby gestures to Stacy happily. "Wanna get an ice cream bar after lunch, girl?" She asked.

Stacy shook her head. She was disappointed. "I really can't, Abby." Stacy answered.

Abby shrugged. She was bemused. "Why not?" Abby wondered.

Stacy sighed. "I have diabetes." She replied.

Later at night, Abby snuck in Miss Coralinski's office tent. There was no trace of the ranger.

She tip-toed around the area. Abby was looking for her clipboard. She illuminated it with her flashlight.

Abby found it on her desk. She made her wicked grin. "Perfect." Abby whispered.
