"Hey Josh!" I greet him while smiling. He's standing few feet ahead of us beside some of his friends , I think some of them are Indians. He says something to them and then comes towards us, he looks at Luciano for a moment.
"So, you came with your boyfriend?" I flushed at this.
"Um- No he's my friend actually." Are we friends though?. We never said it out loud, Does Luciano think we're friends?. I look at Luciano, but he's avoiding my eyes. Oh I frowned, looks like he doesn't want to be my friend.
"Oh Good." Josh seems satisfied with my answer. Shit! I forgot to introduce them.
"Josh meet Luciano and Luciano meet Josh" I said glancing at them and smiling. But they only nod at each other stiffly and I frown again. Fuck! this is awkward.
"Hey Bhavna?" Josh looks at me giving a nervous smile.
"Yeah?"
"Do you wanna join us?" he asked me with hopeful eyes, ruffling his hair nervously making it messy.
Suddenly a girl came beside Josh from no where, "Your friend could come too!" she said looking at Luciano up and down making it obvious that she's checking him out. I narrowed my eyes at her suddenly having the urge to stand in front of Luciano and show a middle finger at her saying 'Bitch, he's mine!'. But that would be.. ahem.. inappropriate.
I looked at Luciano silently asking if he wanted to join them, he just shrugged. Then I looked towards Josh and said "Sure."
Apparently that girl's name is Riya and currently she's rambling off something standing beside Luciano very closely. Back off Bitch!. And I watch them with my eyes narrowed eating my chips wishing they are her head.
Riya kinda looks like Shreya, only looks wise. It's been so many days since I talked to her, I texted her the other night but she did not respond. It's okay she might be busy
"You look pretty today." Josh said from beside me interrupting my thoughts and I flush, I'm not used to receiving compliments.
"Uh- Thank you" I said smiling awkwardly at him.
"But you looked more beautiful on the day we met, in Indian clothes" he said tucking my strands of hair behind my ear. I coughed trying to hide my embarrassment.
"Thanks, you look good too." I said and cringed inwardly. Gosh what a lame reply was that.
Josh chuckled at me pinching my cheeks, he always does that even though I have no chubby cheeks. He opened his mouth again to say something but someone clearing their throat interrupted him.
"Can I have that?" Luciano asks me pointing to my milkshake which I've already completed half. I'm possessive for my food, but he is the one who bought them.
"Um- But I already sipped it, Wait here I'll get you another one." I said and turned around to go back to the food stall quickly but someone clutches the back of my dress stopping me.
