A windy day in Inazuma, storms raging, rain whipping past his face. Kazuha looked out towards the grim sunrise, letting out a deep sigh he took his leaf out, playing a soft song as the thunder boomed above him. As he played the tune on his leaf, he closed his eyes, letting his mind wander. His best friend, Tomo, had gone to fight the Raiden Shogun, Baal, and had not returned for days; Kazuha was quite worried, though he knew Tomo would have to travel, and that took some time. With the way the storms had begun to surge, Kazuha could only imagine that Tomo's battle with Baal was ongoing.
Discarding the leaf, Kazuha turned in the direction of Inazuma City. He had traveled miles behind Tomo, but had essentially followed him; Now it was his time to join Tomo in fighting Baal, he couldn't let his friend die alone. Though he believed in Tomo's ability to fight, his vision was the same as Baal's, giving him no elemental advantage. Not only that, but Baal was an archon, making her stronger than the average vision holder.
Another deep sigh. Kazuha pulled the straw hat he was wearing lower as he began his trek through Inazuma City, making sure to conceal his vision so as to not draw anymore attention to himself. His home, his world, it had flipped upside down since the Tenryou Commission had enacted the Vision Hunt Decree. He wasn't going to let the one thing that remained slip away, he had to save Tomo from Baal's wrath.
Picking up the pace, Kazuha slipped between the bustling streets and made his way past the Tenryou Comission officers. He could hear a sudden crash of thunder, what he could only assume to be Baal as she threw out an attack. He sped up. Another crash, a shout, he sped up again. Making it to the top of the steps, Kazuha leapt forward, shouting his friends name as he made his way into the battlefield.
"Kazuha? What are you doing here?!" Tomo yelled, turning his head, and as he did so, Baal surged forward.
"Tomo, move!" Kazuha screamed, once more leaping forward, this time to intercept Baal's blade with his own. Releasing a gust of wind to blow her back, Kazuha managed to shove Tomo the other way at the same time. Enraged by the uncertainty and imperfection of eternity, Baal struck once more, sending out a shockwave of electricity, her purple eyes glowing with rage. Tomo, already injured, fell limp on the ground with pain. Kazuha picked himself up off the ground and rushed at Baal, his anemo vision glowing on his hip, shining through the robes that concealed it. He send out another gust of wind, slicing through the air it struck the Raiden Shogun, a squirt of blood erupting from the cut on her cheek. Kazuha landed, pivoting on his right foot, he turned and ran to Tomo, picking him up as another gust of heated wind erupted from the battlefield. Lightning flashed behind him as Baal surged forward once more.
"Tomo, keep it together, we're getting out of here!" Kazuha shouted above the roaring thunder.
All he got in response was a light groan as Tomo got his feet beneath him and began to make an effort to run with him. Exiting the battlefield, he could tell Baal was in pursuit, he jumped, pulling out his glider and grabbing on to Tomo as he flew through the air, landing outside the doors leading into the Raiden Shoguns palace.
Instantly met with Tenryou Commission soldiers, Kazuha made sure Tomo could still hold his own before unsheathing his sword and releasing his elemental burst, a swirl of leaves and cutting wind, while behind him Tomo did the same. The combined power of anemo and electro elements swirled around them, cutting straight through the soldiers, easy work compared to striking down an archon. They continued to run, not making it far before they were interrupted once more by Kujou Sara, the Raiden Shogun's right hand. At this point, Tomo was bleeding heavily and was looking quite pale, while Kazuha had small gashes along his legs, arms, and part of his torso. This was their end, wasn't it? Tomo could barely even hold himself up, the thunder behind them grew louder, and Kazuha knew he couldn't take Sara and Baal on his own. This was it, the freedom he was fighting for, gone, stripped away, his life as he knew it was coming to an end.
As Baal drew closer behind, Sara drew her bow and shot, Kazuha threw himself in front of Tomo, the arrow still missing him, it struck Tomo his chest, lodging itself one of his lungs. Kazuha fell to the ground, sliding on the wet concrete. He screamed his friends name, this was it, this was it. It was over. Looking up to see the Raiden Shogun's grim smile, her blade engulfed in purple electricity, he knew he could no longer run. It was truly over, and he would join Tomo in a grim fate, destined to an end by the Vision Hunt Decree. He fell limp as Baal dug her sword into his head, a quick, splitting pain in his skull, a blinding light, and the world went dark.
