I, Zoey Pierce, am bad at a lot of things. I can't dance, play sports, hell, I can't even ride a bike without falling off. But you wanna know one of the worst things I'm bad at?

Relationships.

I can't stay in a relationship with someone, and trust me, I've tried everything. It's like my life is a never ending circle of disappointments. Before I continue, let me just say that this isn't a story where the girl gets the guy or the guy gets the girl and they live happily ever after. No, this is about a girl who happens to fall in love with the wrong guy and faces the consequences for it. So, let's go back to

the beginning, shall we?

I was walking to my first day of high school. I was happy about leaving middle school and moving on, but I was also terrified. My email password was high school nightmares for a reason. As I was walking down the hall, I looked around and everyone was doing there own thing. Meeting their locker buddies, reuniting with old friends, and completely ignoring their true personalities. High school was a fresh start for me. A place where I could be anyone. A place where no one knew me. It was ground zero, too. I had to make new friends, I had to map the school out in my brain, and figure out what I had to do everyday for the next four years. I starting fixing up my locker when I saw this guy who was almost as terrified as I was. He had brown hair, gray eyes, and he was 5'7. He basically towered over me. Poor thing was still trying to find his locker, so I decided to help him a bit.

" Hey. " I said smiling at him. " Hi. " he said shyly. " I can see that you're as terrified as I am, but you better watch out. " I leaned over, get on my tippy toes and whispered in his ear, " These people can smell fear and honey, I'm sorry but a lot is coming off of you. " I said holding in a laugh. He looked even more terrified. I don't think he gets that I was sarcastic. " Hey, I'm kidding. I'm Pierce by the way. Zoey Pierce. " I said outstretching my hand. He shakes my hand as he said " I'm Ethan Walker. " " Nice to meet you, Ethan. I'm gonna help you out a bit before we have to go to homeroom. What's your locker number? " I asked. " 152. " He said. " Dude, you're on the wrong side. You're a couple of lockers down from me. " I said chuckling. He blushed embarrassed. " Follow me. " I said to him as I walked over to his locker. " There you are. Hurry up, we have 5 minutes till we need to go to homeroom. " I said. He nodded and I started walking to homeroom by myself. Once I got in the huge room, I sat on the middle bleachers and listened as our principle, Mr. Robinson, as he started his beginning of the year speech.

" Hello students. Congratulations to getting to high school! I know that each and everyone of you is very intelligent, so I don't think we will have many problems this year. " And after that, I zoned out. Its not like I don't want to listen. It makes sense to not pay attention when your principal is trying to boost up your confidence by telling lies. If he was pinocchio, his nose would be as long as a fallen tree.

After that, the day went by smoothly. Ethan and I basically had the same classes, and at lunch we met a girl. She was super outgoing and talkative so I have no idea how she could fit in with us. Her name was Lexi Huntington. She had blonde curly hair, emerald eyes, and she was 5'5. All I could think around them the first time I saw them both was how short I am. I have brown hair, brown eyes, and I'm 5'2. After getting over the fact that I probably won't ever grow again, I had two new awesome friends. We were polar opposites, but I guess this proves the theory that opposites attract. Everything was better than I imagined. Until I went to World Geography. Ethan and Lexi didn't have this class with me and even though I just met them, they would've helped me a lot. I sat down in the middle of the classroom as I noticed this boy a few desks away from me.
