chapter fifteen ✷ the whomping willow

━━━━━━━━━━━

THE END OF SUMMER VACATION CAME BY QUICKLY. Apollo was excited for Hogwarts, don't get him wrong, but it made time with his father limited. It also worried him that once he returned, Remus would be gone again.

On their last night, Apollo had admitted this to Silas. The man, immediately looking upset, had told Remus and that left Remus laying with Apollo in his bed and whispering that he would always be here now.

As Silas started up the engine in the morning, Remus had sat in the back with his son, letting him get a few extra sleeps. However, apparently the muggles decided that today was a good day for a traffic jam.

      "Silas," Remus started.

"I know, I know," Silas grumbled, looking at his watch.

They reached King's Cross at a twenty to eleven. Silas dashed across the road to get a trolley for Apollo's trunks (Remus was still trying to wake him up) and they hurried into the station.

"Apollo!" someone called and the brunette, having to hold his father's hand because he was simply too tired to walk himself, turned to glare at who made him have a sudden headache.

"Woah," Ron chuckled nervously. Apollo's glare dropped and he immediately smiled at the arrival of his two best friends, Ron and Harry. "What happened to your hair?"

Ron picked at one of the brown strands, causing the shorter boy to frown at him. "What do you mean?"

"He had a sleep in the car," Remus chuckled, making Ron nod.

"Remus, Silas," Mr. Weasley smiled at them.

Silas then checked his watch, "bollocks," he muttered, causing everyone to look at him. "I'm meant to be at my meeting in an hour. It took us about that much to get here."

"We can drop Apollo off for you," Mr. Weasley smiled politely at the brothers.

Remus looked absolutely concerned, but Apollo knew that he knew the weasleys. So, he knelt down and gave his son a bone crushing hug which Apollo happily returned.

"I'll be here when you come back," Remus reassured, kissing his temple.

"Love you, dad," Apollo whispered, Remus letting go and giving Silas time to say his goodbyes to his nephew. The two Lupins gave one last wave before leaving, Ron draping an arm on Apollo's neck as he grinned at him.

"I'm going to make you like quidditch on the train ride, trust me," he whispered mischievously.

      "Can't wait," Apollo sighed sarcastically.
