Game of Chess

11 2 4

It's all on you, your choices and beliefs
The decision to be kind or cruel is yours to pick
While bliss is all the former brings
The later, if preferred, plants the seed of guilt

Locate your stars in this vicious war
If shining with love and compassion, among other good ones
Bless the people residing in dark
But if you rather trick some other
Know karma knocks every door
And the favor is returned, only doubled

The world's forever been full of kings
But when are the crowns ever stable?
So think before you opt for the pen or sword
As to dictate today only to be dictated tomorrow
Is not something one truly desires

Acknowledge that when the game finally ends
The king and the pawn have suffered the same
With nothing left to lose, what great will one gain?
So why be something only later to regret?
As it's been a matter of time
Before we all come down to a single place.
