If I was made of paint
What would I do?
Would I smear myself while I was still drying?
Would I be careful and still?
Would I crack, would I drip?
If I was a painting, would I treat myself like a work of art?If I was made of ink
What would I do?
Would I blow on my arms until I was dry?
Would I scratch out and replace words I didn't like?
Would I have beauty marks or would I have scribbles?
If I was a poem would I treat myself like a work of artIf I was made of clay
What would I do?
Would I re sculpt myself to fit society's view
Would I put myself in the kiln or leave me out?
Would I be a masterpiece finally?
If I was a sculpture would I treat myself like a work of art?If I was made of skin
What would I do?
Would I cut the layers open?
Would I be reckless with adventure?
Would I love myself and my creator?
If I was human would I treat myself like a work of art?-Kay
This poem is all about learning how to love yourself and to treat yourself as important and beautiful no matter what you look like. It shows that no one would ever expect a statue to change themself so why to we expect the same from a human?
