A/N: Hello everyone! This Fitzsimmons story will be AU. (obviously...) I was just listening to Disney songs randomly and "Once Upon a Dream" came up and well, this idea was born! :)
Skye Johnson sits on her best friend's and roommate, Jemma Simmons's bed. She waves a fancy envelope in front of her computer screen.
"Not now, Skye. I'm a bit busy writing this paper." Jemma pushes it away. She sighs and closes her laptop screen. "Hey! Skye! I was in the-"
"Look what I got! An invitation for both of us!" She shows her a dark purple envelope with gold cursive handwriting that said, "You're invited, Skye and Jemma!" Skye frantically opened it and opened up the card.
"Oh my god! We're invited to a masquerade themed party!!" Jemma raises her eyebrows in interest.
"A masquerade? Really?" Skye nods.
"Yeah. It's on Friday at the Marvelous Ballroom from 7PM-12 AM. Hey, not bad."
"At least, we get to go home at a decent time because this paper is destroying me." Jemma laid on her bed and rubbed her temples.
"Well. We have to go and find dresses and masks this week. Promise you'll go shopping with me?" Skye asked her. Jemma nodded and laughed.
"Of course I will, but I have a feeling this party's going to be a bit...umm...what's the word?"
"Stuck up?"
"Yeah. Stuck up and a bit boring."
"Well. Isn't that what British people like? 'Posh' things and boring parties?" Skye giggled while Jemma threw a pillow at her face.
"Shut up. Not all British people like that. At least this one doesn't." She pointed to herself. "Now get off my bed because I am so drained from that paper."
"Okay. Good night, sleepyhead." Skye got off her bed and walked over to her blue bed filled with loads of pillows. This week was going to be fun.
